    Chai latte

Popped in with friends while walking around the neighborhood for an iced drink during a hot weekend. Loved my chai latte! Perfect blend of sweet and spice. The lemonade was such a hit on a hot day as well. Very vibe fitting coffee shop for the area. drinks came out quickly.

Beautiful interior but don't get the matcha lol Food: The coffee looked super unique and definitely is the main drinks at this place. Was craving Matcha this morning and there wasn't much matcha flavor, as well as much of the powder laying at the bottom of the drink. Service: Workers were kind and fast! Ambiance: Beautiful interior and places to sit and work.

Highwire Coffee Roasters opened where Peet's once was. Interior totally renovated. Small order counter. Long seating area next to window. 2 tables outside. Offerings: coffee, lattes, teas, pastries Drink: medium roast only (m. 3.25) black -El destello Guatamalean blend -light, smooth, not bold tasting. Cherry, cola, chocolate notes not tasted. Prefer dark roasts... -weekly rotation of light, medium, dark roasts... 3.5 stars service prompt. Short hours. Disappointed dark roast not available...

    Great spot for coffee

Great coffee matcha and they had a delightfully subtle strawberry latte It wasn't overly sweet and just a hint of floral aroma and flavor. The coffee is $6-7.5 each but Kevin was friendly and makes a great latte The pastries are varied and they looked delicious but the empanadas/hand pies were $11 (overpriced) croissant and doughnuts were small and also $5++ each A bit overpriced but high quality coffee. Pastries just expensive.

Located on the floor level of a business bldg. Casual and modern vibe. Bar, bench and chair seating. Service was friendly. They offer pastries, clothes, coffee products and their beans. Cappuccino looked good, made well and had a great caffeine note and flavor. I will be back for another. A wonderful spot for your caffeine fix.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of their coffee. This is a help yourself via the iPad type of service, but they look at you strange when you don't tip. Super bitter coffee, loud music, no milk or honey to add to your drink at the condiment bar. Expensive and not worth it.

The newest Highwire Coffee Roasters in the former Peet's Coffee spot at 1111 Broadway in Downtown Oakland. Space has been newly remodeled with very open, airy and livelier concept than their other locations Only 1 barista/employee there today and fortunately, not yet busy since it's maybe 1 week new. Gentleman working was friendly, welcoming and does a delicious seasonal candied-orange latte. Definitely, an indulgence and will stick with my usual lattes. You can order online or on their counter ordering system to minimize the wait. Pastries from various vendors like Third Culture, Craftman & Wolves as they offer mochi donuts and muffins along with the Rebel Within (soft boiled egg stuffed in a muffin), morning buns, cookies, koiugn amann, muffins and croissants Nice addition to Downtown Oakland and located right outside the 12th Street BART station

I've walked by this shop in downtown Oakland, so today I decided to go in and give it a try. I ordered a strawberry latte from their seasonal menu, and when asked by the cashier, I went with the default which is the medium size and whole milk, and cost $6 before tip. I don't see any info on the menu about the price difference for their three different drink sizes, so I wish they would add that. The medium is 12 oz. The drink was prepared within only a few minutes, and the barista was friendly and also made some nice latte art on the top. I was here on a Wednesday afternoon, there was music playing in the store but not too loudly to be unable to hear when talking to people, and almost all of their seating, which was mostly stools at a countertop/high table, were empty. They do provide free wifi. As for the drink itself, I couldn't taste the strawberry part, only the coffee. It wasn't bad as lattes go but I wish the strawberry flavor was a lot stronger.

The interior makes one feel that you are in a high end cafe with its beautiful decor. Some many items to choose from, the person taking my order was very helpful in explaining the different kinds of drinks and pastries. Ordered the Ginger Honey Jobani as a hot drink, Biscoff Milkcake, Honeycomb, and a Beef Fatayer. There were several kinds of milkcakes which would have the texture like a tres leches cake. The Honeycomb had pockets of cream cheese and was drizzles with honey. The Meat Fatayer is like an empanada. The food and drink were very tasty. Highly recommend to stop by Sanaa Cafe and experience it. Their website shows more cafe openings in the future!

Suggested great recommendations. they had told me this is not the first sana'a cafe -- there are 10 other locations around the bay. this cafe, in particular, is great for work or even to sit down and sip some coffee. it is spacious -- with great amount of sunlight. when you go at golden hour -- its perfection. although the cafe is great, my chai wasn't so much. it lacked in flavor and wasn't iced the way I would prefer it to be. but I'd still definitely give this place a try again -- maybe a coffee this time around, haha.
