Therefore, it is going to be rowdy, it is going to get a bit unkempt, and the fire alarm will be pulled in the middle of the night. All of this is to be expected. If you are not in college... go somewhere else. 1) The staff is extremely helpful and kind. Dave - the property manager - is extremely informative, easy going, and easy to talk to. I had a roommate issue early on and he was able to find me a new apartment (all to myself for the last 10 months of my lease) with no hassle to me at all. in fact, he ended up saving me money and a lot of drama. Dave is awesome. 2) The amenities are amazing: Tanning, gym, fire pits, hot tub, Grills, monthly meals, paid utilities/electric/trash etc. The only bad thing about this is that once you leave, reality hits and this is NOT real life. (Most residents have a hard time swallowing that pill.) 3) Maintenance is always respectful of privacy and 8N often gives a heads up when they may be arriving. They are pretty quick and painless when they come in so most of the time you won't even notice. Any report is handled within 24hrs. I miss my apartment every day. You are right in the Haymarket, walking distance from everything, and shuttles will help get you through those cold months. Keep in mind. Luxury housing is unrealistic but definitely worth a try. 8N is great while you are still in college.

Liv Red and Latitude are right across the street with similar pricing and Atmosphere is a couple blocks away. Those 3 also have identical fun, college environments. With the amount of money they falsely charged me to move out, it would've been so much cheaper to live somewhere else. Going back to January, I woke up the day after my birthday party to my whole apartment flooding. Water was coming out of the lights, smoke alarm, ceiling. There was about an inch of water across my whole floor, and I had to throw a lot away. They did absolutely nothing about this. Now, they charged me $645 in move out charges. They claimed they had to reinstall all new carpeting because of a spot on the carpet. When I asked for proof of the replacement or any sort of receipt or document, they refused to send me anything after about 10 emails back and forth. Not only is it the most trashy apartment out of all of the options, it will also end up being the most expensive. The showers are smaller than the suites and the hot water runs out very quickly. The hallways look unfinished and they don't host many resident events compared to other places. Our washing machine was broken the whole time we were there and no one did anything after I filed so many fix it tickets I literally to hand wash stuff towards the end. If you have a choice, take my advice and choose somewhere else. I would recommend LivRed across the street.

The amenities here are unmatched (gym, game room, lots of study rooms and spaces, pool deck, courtyard, north amenity deck with multiple grills and a fireplace, tanning beds, and a sauna), so there is always something to do! You're also less than a 10-minute walk to the Haymarket, O street, and campus, so the location really can't be beaten. Every staff member that I've worked with had been super kind and helpful and seems to truly care about their residents. They also offer complimentary breakfast and have great resident events, which is a plus! I would 100% recommend living here to everyone.

They clean the…read morecarpets with a spray bottle of water and a self powered machine with no suction or hot water..nothing. We witnessed that on the move in day. The premium parking is the sketchiest parking I have ever seen. It's dark and the garage door is left open many times letting anyone off the streets in, the door to the elevator was broken so anyone could get in, we made so many calls and were promised things were going to be fixed and never were. The place smelled and was dirty in the hallways. Advertised as a college apartment building yet older gentleman living there as well. Game room was being renovated for the full year, pool was dirty. There are lots of options that are lots of options for apartments in downtown Lincoln for the same price or less that are clean and safe, stay clear of Latitude!

This is a massive apartment complex with multiple buildings of varying styles and degrees of renovation. There is a huge beautiful pool area at the clubhouse, a gym with a reasonable amount of equipment that was usually always working, and a party room for rent. The office staff is friendly and helpful and the maintenance staff is wonderful to work with. I lived on Norfolk drive in one of the newer buildings. It was a three story locked entry building that always had a working elevator and the hallways and floors were cleaned weekly. Mail boxes and garbage were conveniently located close to my building. Plenty of uncovered parking space and both the parking lot and sidewalks were always kept in fantastic shape. In winter, they were salted and snow was shoveled. In the spring and summer the gardening was impeccable. My apartment was a spacious 2 bedroom with a bonus sunroom off the master bedroom. I live in a house now and still dream about the size of that bedroom, it was phenomenal. Huge sunken tub and separate shower in the bathroom. Nicely sized spare bedroom and bath and a beautiful up to date kitchen and living area. The apartment has its own water heater and central heating and air. It is very easy to keep your home comfortable regardless of what Nebraska weather is giving you. The walls and floors are pretty great in regards to sound proofing. I only occasionally heard muffled noise and never had any noise complaints for myself. The balconies were pretty large and mine faced a beautiful running trail and waterway. In the summer the fireflies danced off the water and in the winter a local fox frequently frolicked in the snow. It was a hard apartment to let go of. The rent was super affordable and never drastically went up or down year to year. In the end, all of my deposit minus the carpet cleaning was returned to me and my move out was as seamless as the three years I rented here. I think this is undoubtedly the best apartment I have ever lived in.

Next my gym key worked but it would not let me in the pool. Then I was told I could probably get a garage after move in, my texts have been ignored. Today I received a tow notice on my car that said I had not moved it for 24-48 hours. This was after I returned from the Mall! The office staff said I had to change my stall everyday. I was angry. They must get a lot of this...she went into a robotic recitation of not wanting any further conversation. Long stor y if you are over 50 and retired this is not a good fit.

I wish Yelp allowed negative Star reviews. If so, I'd give Tanglewood -10 Stars. Why you ask?…read more I'll share with you in my humble opinion. First off, it's been years since I lived there, but I thought it was time to warn the Lincoln population about my days living there. The on site management team office is more like walking into a circus tent asking for help from the clowns. They are brutally clueless. Not a sole in the bunch can fight themselves out of a bottomless paper bag. The apartments are very dated. Appliances break regularly. Repair times are slow. I really believe they just give you someone else's broken appliances. You never get a new one to replace the broken one. There is poop all over the complex. No one seems to pick up after their pups. Some run without a lease. One or two tenants were about a day away from a lawsuit being filed against them. It is not acceptable at anytime for a large dog to come lunging at me. No one seems to ever listen. They just pretend to listen to your complaints. Then if you do have a few issues, they'll decide it's time to raise your rent. Seriously? That's professional. Trust me, look at all of these shit show complaints here on Yelp! Do you think everyone is lying here? Take a pass on this housing development. You are better off living in a homeless shelter in the dead of winter with just a pair of wet Long-johns for cover. Don't be that person who still decides to rent here after reading this post and say that you weren't warned. As far as I'm concerned, you just accepted being another clown in Tanglewood's All-Star Circus.
