I initially called Highline after business hours and the owner cheerfully answered and gave me contact information for the office manager, Vanessa, who would be able to book us in the morning. Vanessa responded early the next morning and we were confirmed and booked, no questions asked. Our day-of driver was professional and kind; he called me to tell me where he parked, met with me outside the venue, & did not pressure us to "hurry up" as I wrangled our group of 32 onto the charter van/bus. At the pick-up site, he took the time to call me & even find some of our group to be sure everyone was accounted for before departing. Our normal "dude" aka driver wasn't available for a pick up/return home ride last week so I hopped on Yelp and started making calls. Everyone I called was $115+ for a one way from the airport to the La Costa area. HuH? These guys quoted me $75 and I was sold on the spot. They said they'd call me back in 15 minutes to get it all set up. 30 minutes go by so I call back and the guy is super apologetic and takes down our info. There was a bit of miscommunication as he wrote down my cell # wrong (he had it on his caller ID though...) so I had to call dispatch back to get a hold of the driver when we walked outside at the airport. Other than that minor snafu the driver was nice, the car was clean, and he got us home safely. I'd call that a success! read more

Highline Charter gave us a little scare on our wedding day. After booking the 43 passenger bus from the resort to my wedding venue the charter bus arrived at the wrong location. Although everything was confirmed in emails and in the payment receipt the bus went to the wedding venue and all the guests were waiting 45 minutes at the resort. We almost had to postpone the ceremony but luckily to be safe we arranged for a very early arrival and everything kicked off only a couple minutes late as they got everyone to their seat. The operations manager at the venue told the driver he was in the wrong location. It took one of the groomsmen going out to the driver to get him to depart to the correct location. No one had any complaints about the trips both ways and they were on time to pick everyone up at the end of the reception. I had a very pleasant experience working with Natasha to book the charter bus. I was very pleased to receive an apology and partial refund for the mixup. read more

But I will take the chance because Highline is such a professional company. We used them for transport to and from San Diego to LAX. Amazing service. Our driver had to wait for us on the way back from London as our flight was delayed for 4 hours. He was still there early just to be safe and had just a great attitude. We also used to take my daughter and her friends to the Tim McGraw concert in Chula Vista. Again, timely, professional, knowledgeable. I found Highline Charter on Yelp and after calling over 15 other places for a 20-30 passenger limo for my mom's 65th birthday, their prices were competitive. I initially spoke with Natasha. She was extremely professional and helpful and was able to make our reservation. Due to issues with my e-mail, I had to call back the following day and spoke with Natasha. Natasha was equally as nice and professional and was apologetic for the confusion, even though it was an issue on my end with my e-mail. The day of the event (7/19/14), the 30 passenger bus was supposed to pick us up at 6pm. I received a call from our driver, Annette at 5:45pm, stating that she was there and ready whenever we were. Annette was professional, funny and nice. She was prepared to take us where we needed to go, waited for us where she said she would and we had no issues. Reliable, professional, knowledgeable. With only a few weeks left before my wedding (Nov 2, 2013) other charter companies were quoting me astronomical rates. Highline Charter offered extremely affordable rates, even when selecting multiple vehicles to accommodate all my passengers. Highline keeps competitive by offering 4 hour minimum blocks and one way trips, saving you from paying for a charter bus that's parked during your photos and reception. Everyone else? Wanted to bill for the whole time, costing three times as much. It gets better though, as Highline Charter had just bought a full size charter bus, and quoted me a lower price for the single large bus rather than the two smaller shuttles. The integrity? Highline would not commit to the large bus bid until it could be fully licensed and certified. I figured that even if they did get the bus paperwork in order, they'd go ahead and send me the smaller shuttles since they'd make a bit more money on it. I was wrong. They got the paperwork together and stood behind the lower price. Reliable? You bet. Showed up early or right on time for all pickups and drop offs, in the right spot at the right time. Knowledgeable: The driver adapted to the San Diego weekend traffic on the fly and got my guests to and from without fail. These are not the minute details you want to be involved in when getting married. You need to be able to trust your driver, especially when you have the tight time frame we were working on (three locations, multiple runs, designated loading areas and times scheduled in advance with the hotel and church, military base access, zero margin). I did and it paid off. Lastly, I dropped the ball and forgot to send the credit card authorization in before the event. I called an hour before pick up the day of the event: no problem. We wanted a shuttle to transport our wedding party and guests between the ceremony location in Balboa Park and the reception in Shelter Island as a convenience to all due to the difficulties with parking on a Sunday at both places. It proved to be worthwhile! Highline has a a nice selection of fleet vehicles to choose from. We were helped at first by Vanessa then Natasha; both were excellent. Moreover, our contract was for 5 hours of service. When we actually went over that day by a half hour, Highline's owner waived the extra 30 minute charge for us. I hired one of their busses for a family reunion trip to Vegas. It does not get any better. The bus showed up even earlier than promised (5:30 AM). It was clean and still smelled and looked new. The driver was extremely helpful and informative. He was ready to drive us to Hoover Dam from Vegas even though it was not in our original deal for a nominal fee. We were glad to pay it considering what it saved us had we stayed at the table LOL. Hired Highline at the last minute on a Friday night to drive around a group of bachelorettes on a Saturday in gaslamp. It was late on Friday when I made the reservation and Fahri got right back to me. The price I was quoted was super competative and the bus was awesome, professionalism at its best! He even rolled with the punches when the bachelorettes got a little wild at the end of the evening. About 1.5 weeks before our wedding, our transportation accommodations fell through and we were frantically looking for 2 shuttles to transport 60 guests. Highline was recommended to me by another company and although they had some available shuttles, they didn't have exactly what we needed. I thought it was a dead end, but an hour later Lydia called me back and said that she's been trying to come up with ways to transport our guests because it was my wedding day and I shouldn't worry.
