The small creek that runs through it sets a very nice background for a park with a number of small seating areas and a very nice, though slightly out of place, bridge that crosses the stream about 50 feet from a road that does the same. A bike path through Coralville traverses the park and makes for a lovely segway between neighborhoods as you bike or run through. As it is part of the school, it's not ideal to go during school hours as they use it for outdoor class, but after hours or on the weekends it makes a great spot for some dog time or just relaxing with friends and enjoying the outdoors.

My fourth grader is farther ahead than her seventh grade friend in all subjects, and was concitered a little below average in her fourth grade class. In fourth grade, the kids were taking tenth grade Iowa asessmant tests. They use high school science books, and conciter them little kiddish! We went and toured this place- from the front office to the locker rooms, this place is clean and fun! The lockers in the locker rooms are bigger than any I ever had. But then, I was a swimmer, so we didn't have all the equipment. Their weight room has custom weights, with rubberized coatings on them with the Trojan mascot. The cafeteria is their bragging room, with a wall of honor and where they show off the banners they've won, and famous alumni. The arts room was cool, with lots of creative stuff going on. They were doing still life paintings and drawings, and works in clay that require a big kiln. The science area seems to be current, and up to date. No mention of creationism in the science lab, so that's good. The school was secure, with a high tech system to monitor who's coming and going through the buildings. Everything was ADA compliant, with elevators, ramps, etc. Their landscaping was nice, they have their own football field, which is a brilliant touch. Go Trojans!
