Higher Standards is a home care business that helps you or your loved ones stay home and stay independent for as long as possible. We come in to help clean, prepare and serve meals, shop, run errands, provide assistance with ADL's (activities of daily living) such as getting dressed, hygiene care, shaving, bathing, incontinent care and medication reminders. We also help get transport or transport within our abilities to and from appointments, many other services are provided and can be found on our website.
History
Established in 2008.
Higher Standards LLC was created due to NEED. A need for better care a desire to change the stigma that was becoming the long term care norm.
The owner has worked in various forms of the medical field over the past 20 + years and saw a slow but steady decline in care being provided and a slow but steady increase in the cost. Finally after questioning for years how one person can make the biggest impact, the biggest difference?
Questioning, planning, dreaming, researching, wondering, and relentless desire gave way to the idea of opening Higher Standards LLC...... providing home care at standards that will not waiver, will not confirm to the sad standards of the medical care field today! At Higher Standards we strive to provide the highest quality care, the care we would provide to our own loved ones. Meet the Business Owner: Rebecca R.
Love of the medical field for Rebecca began over 20 years ago when she started working in the medical field. Her first job was at age 15 as a CNA in a nursing home and though she has worked and learned many areas in the medical field since, she always finds her way back to long term care. She is inspired by our elderly loved ones and it pushes her to provide them with the dignity, care, compassion, and respect that they not only deserve but have earned. Providing care for those who paved the way for us today is her greatest passion as well as her first and everlasting love in the medical field.
After years in the field watching the dynamic shift from patient centered care to profit centered care, Rebecca decided to bring back standards within the medical field in the only way she knew how to, opening a home health agency providing care held to Higher Standards and she refuses to provide anything less than the absolute best because that is what her clients have earned and deseerve
