This studio is poorly managed and maintained. It is very disorganized and the owner relies on his…read moredancer's parents to do all of his administrative work. He is rude, treats the dancers poorly and shows favoritism towards students whose parents contribute extra money. He charges way too much for competition fees and then purchases costumes that parents pay $80 for at Wal Mart and doesn't reimburse them. He is a sub par teacher and expects the kids to respect him when he shows ZERO respect to them or their families and he makes poor choices when it comes to hiring instructors, most leave within a few months and he is an all around nasty man. I would never want my child to dance for him again. She spent 5 Years there and has lately became his "scape goat" And gets blamed for everything. He acts like a child and "punishes" those who don't take his side or when they speak up for themselves by taking them out of dances or "removing them from the team" We pay a service he works for us not the other way around. There are several other studios in the area that are well ran and actually succeed. Please avoid this at all costs especially if you have morals or want to see your child treated kindly

My daughter was enrolled at Kemper Dance for four years. She loved her time at the studio, and the…read moreother dancers became her second family. For me, the experience was bittersweet. I loved watching my daughter dance and enjoyed spending time with the other dance moms. The problem I had was the poor communication from the studio owner. The first year my daughter competed was a mess and he even left one of the competitions without telling any of the parents. The last straw for me was when he ran my debit card without my authorization. The card was given to the studio with the sole purpose of charging the monthly tuition. I contacted him right away, and he answered back he could not talk to me until the next day after dance class. The next morning, he announced on the dance team's Facebook page that my daughter had resigned from the dance team. The studio owner did not care that we had a competition in three days (which I had already paid for). At this point, I had to break the news to my daughter. She was distraught, to say the least. She cried all night, and nothing I said would console her. I offered to sign her up with another studio, and she responded, "I can dance anywhere, but it will never be the same because it will not be the same team of girls." He also abused the trust I had in him and ran my debit card without my permission. He is not a trustworthy businessman. He threw four years of continuous business down the drain! Don't give him your business, he cannot be trusted with personal information. I never write reviews, but I just can't stay quiet about what Mr. Kemper did to my daughter.
