Bought a used 2017 4x4 Mercedes sprinter sight unseen, brought it to these guys to go over it, and…read morefelt extremely well taken care of. They're thorough, take time on the phone, document everything, and are just generally a pleasure to work with. Brandon handled for me, and it's obvious he knows Sprinters inside and out, and they coordinated their work with my conversion company for the van and handled transporting the van for me across town, etc. Easy five star experience.

BG Automotive? More like "BS" Automotive. The one star is for an oil change (since 0 stars is not…read morean option). BG Auto IS SHADY, smooth talking for sure, but A RIP OFF. STAY AWAY. This is a lengthy description, but it's not half the story. To all the glowing 5 star reviewers - check your invoices. The problem started with their "courtesy inspection" accompanying the oil change, where half of their recommendations (deemed red flag "Requires Immediate Attention") ultimately turned out to be mostly unnecessary and absurdly expensive. That became apparent only after paying. My bad, of course, I obviously should have asked to see a detailed estimate prior to the work. The initial estimate did not provide parts or labor detail & appeared to indicate the work was part of a "complete tune up." Upon dropping off the truck, "Service Advisor"Jesse stated that Champion copper spark plugs had been factory installed on 2013 RAM 2500s, so that was best & what BG would install. Classic BAIT & SWITCH: BG charged $508.48 for a set of 16 plugs! When I challenged the bill, asking if "kryptonite plugs" were installed instead, Jesse indicated, no, the copper plugs were used... then he checked his computer & stated, actually no, in fact the [far] more expensive NKG iridium plugs were installed. "They're much better because they last up to 100,000 miles," he emphasized. I replied, "Great. BG just changed out NGK iridium plugs that had been in the engine already, with only 60,000 miles on them." The WORK WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Also on the bill was a "TOTAL FEES" charge of $175.77 (yes, that specific), but with ZERO DETAIL of what those fees were for or how they were calculated. Jesse couldn't provide that detail either, "It could be shop supplies, or hazardous disposal - you know, those state regulations - it could be almost anything." Note there were no hazardous materials involved with this work, such as a tire or battery disposal fee. (Google search indicates: In Colorado, shop fees are usually calculated as a percentage of the labor cost (e.g., 5-10%) and are often capped at a maximum amount (e.g., $25 to $50). Also, Colorado statute requires the repair invoice to have some kind of description of these fees, and further, "a description of each part by name and identifying number." Nowhere on the invoice was the type of plugs installed specified, either. You get NADA DETAIL from BS Automotive. Finally, while repair shops typically mark up parts 70-100% of wholesale price, BG is marking up parts in the ballpark of 100% of retail price. (If you can pry out of them the parts brand they say they'll use, you can easily verify this with a Google search at their counter.) They should be ashamed and embarrassed for what they're charging the hardworking folks of Longmont. When pressed to justify the charges, Jesse insisted they were competitive, "within 5% of other local repair shops." More BS. Comparing apples to apples (parts & labor only), the local dealership quoted over $200 less, the Loveland repair shop I've frequented in the past was over $400 less (obviously, checked after the fact...). If the handful of other shops Jesse quoted are actually within 5%, they are ripping us off too. Jesse would not budge on the final bill, but he did offer to comp me an oil change. As if! I had already told him I would never set foot in BG Automotive again. However, I would take a call from the BG Automotive (Owner) to provide the rest of the story about this pathetic BG encounter.

If you're considering this shop, let me save you a headache: the work is good, but the leadership…read moreis a full-time safety hazard. I've spent around twenty five thousand dollars with this place over time, and I kept coming back for one reason: Nate. His work is outstanding. The man could rebuild an RV blindfolded while reciting torque specs. He deserves a shop where his skill isn't overshadowed by someone trying to run the place like a discount drill instructor. The problem isn't the techs. The problem is the owner, David, who treats customers like they walked into his day wrong. They missed storm damage on my estimate, failed to order a window they said would be "no problem," overlooked two damaged exterior speakers, left grease on the interior during a previous visit, and forgot to leave my keys out so I could pick up my RV before a freeze. That "oops" earned me a wasted trip. But the trophy moment was when David called me the next morning. I asked for a simple verification that the plumbing wasn't compromised from the cold. Instead of professionalism, he unleashed a rant, raised his voice, and cussed at me before I could even finish a sentence. I've gotten calmer responses from TSA agents during holiday travel. Here's the truth: * Nate is the only thing keeping this place afloat. * The shop's actual work is fine. * But the leadership style is "angry hall monitor with a business license," and that's being generous. When the owner acts like every reasonable question is a personal attack, it doesn't just push customers away -- it risks the reputation of everyone who works there. I'm amazed the team sticks around, especially someone as skilled as Nate. He deserves better. If you want quality work without being treated like an inconvenience, choose literally any other RV shop in Colorado. As long as David is running the show, this one is a hard pass.

Zero stars!!! Jack is a horribly dishonest, incompetent, and unapologetic RV repairman. He came…read morerecommended by an RV repair shop that wasn't taking new customers. Jack came to our house the same week we called and fixed our generator. We were impressed by his work so we talked to him about a leak in our bumpout that had made a big soft spot in the floor. There were other various things that we wanted to have done: extra storage shelves, new countertop, fix our ladder. We brought the camper to him in April of 2023 and he said he would have it back to us by June. So in June I asked him if we could have it back by the 4th of July. He said there was no way it would be done by then. So in October I asked him if it would be done by Thanksgiving and he said it wouldn't be possible. At this point I was very curious on how it couldn't possibly be done after 6 months so I told him in the first week of January, 2024 that we were moving to Maine in the spring and we needed the camper back by the end of March or early April at the latest and he said it would absolutely be done. I drove up to his house in the middle of March and it appeared that the camper hadn't been moved or worked on since we had dropped it off almost a year earlier. When I asked him about it he texted me back and told me the camper would be done at the end of March as per my request. By the end of April I still hadn't heard from him, so I began texting him asking him when I could get my camper back. He kept brushing me off, saying that the camper was done but he was putting on the finishing touches. But by the middle of May he still wouldn't give me a date to pick up the camper and at this point I was sick with worry because we were moving and we were packed up and ready to go and had plans all set to move across the country. So my husband went to his house the day after Mother's Day and it still hadn't been moved. Up until the very end he made me believe that it was done. The night before we were set to move to Maine we drove up there and the camper was all torn apart and nothing had been done. He put subfloor on top of the rotten floor and it was all spongy. All of the cabinets had been torn apart and strewn about his driveway. I told him to get his tools out of the camper and I was coming back to get the camper in the morning. When I came back he was still trying to put the floor down. I told him to get out and give us back our camper. It took him another 4 hours to do his halfway job, trying to salvage what, I don't know, and then his wife gave me the invoice. $8,500. What. The. Actual. F*$&!!!!! I looked at everything, incredulously, and asked as politely as I could, how in the world they thought this job was worth $8,500!!! His wife told me it took him 3 tries to put down the floor. Seriously?! How can you charge someone $170/hour for your work and you have no idea how to do any kind of construction. I'm not paying someone to practice their craft on my camper! If you don't know how to do the work, do it timely, do it right, then you have no right to make people believe you can do it and then never give them back their camper. So Jack and Bria, thanks for nothing because we were so heartbroken and sick over the whole thing that we ended up trading it in. We got a whole $24,000 on a trade instead of the $40,000 we could've gotten if you hadn't touched the camper in the first place. Add in the $6000 we paid you to destroy our camper, and the $500+ a month in hotel rooms we had to pay for in the last year when I was taking care of my dying father, another $1000+ to completely reschedule our entire move, and losing an entire summer of camping with my kids and family because of your lies and deceit, we're out about $30,000. I would love to take you to court and destroy you but I'll settle for the good people of Colorado running you out of business and their state themselves. Good people of Colorado and the rest just passing through or vacationing, do not trust this business!!!

The only bright spot of this was the fact Jeremy was able to get me scheduled for service & get the parts ordered timely -- it goes down hill from there. Btw- as I write this - I've been sitting here for 11hrs now. Everyone has went home except the tech working on my vehicle. All I needed was a brand controller & 7 way connector installed - quoted at no more than 4hrs by other dealerships--- like I mentioned I've been here from 9am & it's 7pm as I type this out. We've not eaten all day other than the complementary cookies & bottled water. We're basically being held hostage for something that should NEVER have taken this long. The service folks literally took our payment & ran out the door at 5pm ----- If that was not enough to dissuade you-- let me tell you about the environment-- it's disheveled, dirty & unorganized. There cobwebs on everything -- there's used parts in their "retail" area. The trailer we did look at was dirty & had not been detailed. There were still personal affects from the last owners. I had pretty good vibes coming here & left absolutely let down & disgusted. I will NEVER recommend this place. Please don't spend your money here-- this place needs to die off.

We bought our trailer at CMRV and had a great time all around. On our first trip, we had an issue with a water line, which CMRV fixed for us (warranty work) immediately. We have been back for winterizing, summerizing, and a random repair. The folks there have always been friendly, accommodating, and professional with us. I will add that when I take my trailer in, I plan on coming back for it. I know they are busy and don't have a large staff. That said, my winterizing/summerizing has always been same day service. I really like the people at CMRV and I highly recommend them!
