    Shaved roast beef

Loved this place and can't wait to go back!! Came for lunch on a rainy Saturday and there was plenty of seating. We ate at the bar and took in all the decor they have. Bartenders were fun and helpful. Highly recommend the pickle martini and matcha martini! They were both soo good. The shaved roast beef sandwich was delicious and the grapefruit and beet salad was so fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back to try their happy hour and the chicken salad sandwich looked really good too.

This deli is absolutely awesome! The food was creative and tasty. We had the warm oven roasted turkey (topped with sea salt chips in the sandwich to add crunch, nice!) and the Italian, both were great. As we were the waiting for our food, I saw their burger come out several times. I had major fomo. The staff is so friendly and excellent. I felt like I was hanging out with the cool kids. I can't say enough about the ambience, we grew up in the 80s and it transported me back in time. I can't wait to come back with my kids. I'm also looking forward to the burger. What a great hang out for the Bouldin Creek hood!

I tried High Road Delica Texan (awesome name) for the first time yesterday and am excited to go back. The wait was an hour long for food, but luckily they have great indoor and outdoor seating and you order at a counter so we were able to place our food order, grab a drink, and enjoy the ambiance while we waited for our meal. I initially ordered the dill pickle martini, and I must say I did not like it one bit. It was covered with olive oil and dill, hardly a martini, and I would not recommend it. The gin-miso bees knees though was delicious. I look forward to trying a different sandwich next time I go back!

As an avid lover of Cavalier, I decided to try their new adventure here. My son-law and I tried last week while on a spin to South Austin. It's a trek from Pflugerville, but we had another mission and were very excited to give this quaint and cozy place a try. It is so laid back and so extremely well decorated. Makes one definitely feel at home. My granddaughter loved the little outside area for kids, there are also a tables that can be enjoyed outside. Mary Street is such a beautiful area. Great tap selection and if you know the Cavalier, you know the cocktails are always on point. Deli sandwiches available, as well as incredible hot dog options, with house made sausages, and even vegan options. House made, boudin, brats, sausages, andouille available in bulk. Salads, sides, deserts, etc. Staff were eager to answer and questions and help. They even have Momo's, a non tomato option for bloody's and michelada's. My all time favorite, again made right here in the ATX. Game machines in another small room, my granddaughter loved that as well. This place is stunning, delicious and well worth a visit, definitely sooner than later, so saddle up and go!!!

This place is terrific. The pictures don't do it justice. It's a very cool 80s themed bar and restaurant that is such a relief from the more douchey places on South Lamar and South Congress. Their happy our specials and patio are great. Definitely go.

Fantastic breakfast sandwiches! The place has a nice neighborhood bar vibe in the evening.

Shaved roast, beef and potato salad.

Got the shaved roast beef and a side of potato salad, the shaved roast beef was very delicious with a robust amount of flavor. I will say it did look different from the photos to me. It seemed like it was more of a poor roast beef rather than sliced or shaved. I'm assuming they probably did that so it can keep moisture as it was very juicy. The bread had a really good taste to it, but I will admit that it was a bit saggy from the bottom, even though I ate it pretty quickly for people who don't like spicy food I would say it does have a pretty good punch to it. The potato salad was well-rounded with lots of herbs and spices and was extremely pleasant. The vibe was great felt like a local diner. Customer service was outstanding, laid-back, and chilled will definitely come and try more off the menu.

A new sandwich shop just opened in our neighborhood, so of course we had to check it out--and it absolutely delivered. The ambiance has a retro diner vibe while still feeling unmistakably Austin. The menu is stacked with an impressive selection of sandwiches and sides, making it hard to choose just one. We loved the eclectic art covering the walls, and the game room looks like such a fun bonus space to hang out. Safe to say, this spot is officially going into our weekly rotation. Can't wait to try to the adult bevvies next time!

    Jersey Cure Breakfast Sandwich

Amazing cocktails, full bar, delicious food, and incredibly friendly staff. We ordered the Dilly Dilly Swag Martini, Miso Ginger Bee's Knees, and a Black Manhattan--each one excellent. Breakfast is served until 11, followed by the full menu. The Warm Oven Roasted Turkey included a layer of potato chips for an added crunch, the Jersey Cure breakfast sandwich was outstanding, and the Cheesy Fries were a highlight--crispy, cheesy, and perfectly finished with chili crisp. Next time I'm planing on trying the "bowl of hashbrowns" with crème fraiche and caviar paired with the dilly martini. Definitely coming back.

The care and attention to detail they put in does not go unnoticed and is unmatched. The entire menu is incredible and every single dish is worth trying. The Kinda French quesadilla is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten in my entire life and the guacamousse sauce is You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches either (the Poulet Roti Baguette and the Parisian are my personal faves ) and of course the traditional Rotisserie chicken- don't skip on those potatoes either- they are SO good and really tie everything together. Friendly staff overall. The food fell flat for almost all of us. The salads were fresh and good. However, the ribs were below average. Cornbread was stale and not tasty. Biscuits tasted more like firm bread and not at all flaky/soft. That seemed weird to all of us. Chicken fried steak was soggy and not crispy. Drinks were ok. Not quite sure why the food was subpar, but there were 10 of us who all agreed we wouldn't return for food. There is a swanky little cozy speakeasy in the basement that may be good? Not sure if all the burgers are always cooked well-done, but that's how ours were made (and was never asked if I wanted otherwise). Also ordered a side of fried plantains that came with a small cup of ketchup. They were harder than I was expecting, and not to salted. Next time I think I'd just order the fries. Waited at the window to order for several minutes while the guy took a phone call, then had a hard time hearing him take my order since he was still on his call and had his mask on (pandemic issues...and maybe this is where he asked how I wanted my burgers cooked?? Who knows, couldn't hear him!). Then it took awhile for the order to come out. By the time I got the food and back to our table, our friends had already purchased and eaten their food from other food trucks, so that was a bummer. Good option if you're in the food truck park. Just be prepared to spend time waiting to order and get your food. Tip: ask if you can have your burger cooked medium or medium rare. If you prefer it that way, of course.

They were one of the few food trucks in this area that was open during the daytime. The majority of the other options are open later at night when the bar scene is crowded. The bad: The brisket sandwich tasted mostly of just BBQ sauce and the brisket was cut up in small weird chunks. There was melted orange cheese on it that was also unappetizing. We didn't want the caramelized onions so we asked for raw onions but the cashier/cook didn't speak English so the most we could communicate was "no onions." Also, the payment machine was all in Spanish (for selecting tip, signature, etc) so you better brush up on your Spanish if you're paying by credit card! There were cigarette butts on the ground and on the tables and a homeless person hanging out at the benches as well. I ordered fries at first but they were sold out. The interesting: The sandwiches are open-faced.

The parking is shared and gets packed in the evening or you have to pay to park if you are unable to find anything in the lot or on the street. Handsome Dans has a sign directing you to the back where they are located. The vibe is true to a bait shop/diner it's casual with a rustic feel, they have a large covered patio adjacent to Stargazer bar. I highly suggest sitting outside if possible because the inside does get a bit claustrophobic and smokey when it's packed and they are smashing paninis on the press with no proper kitchen overhead vents. The type of greasy smoke you get when you are making super buttery sandwiches on a hot press. The sandwiches are ok but not something I would go out of my way to have ,our kids liked the hotdogs and Frito pies which were also kind of "upper class" gas station quality. Most of the stuff here is food that probably tastes way better after drinking several beers. It's like any normal sandwich you could make at home and toss in a panini press to be honest. Really good beers on tap and friendly staff who seemed to disappear to the back quite a bit and came back confused. They didn't know if they had already given me my food because I was ordering and paying for extra food after more people in our party arrived. They literally saw my food I already had on the table from my previous order and thought they gave me double of what I ordered hahaha. I can't make a judgment because I have no clue what they kept dispersing to the back for but can just say the confusion was real, LOL. All together if I had to come back it be because someone I knew wanted to try it. Otherwise for me it's a one and done. I got the pictures I stood next to a sign ,I had the Signiture sandwiches, now I'm moving on. I can say I've been there done that. I'm guessing that a college crowd or just being a single person who just wants to be amongst people that this is the type of lowkey place to go if you're not into the typical Longhorn hangouts. You stop in ,have some beers, eat a low budget ingredient expensive panini sandwich and chill till you have to call yourself a Waymo cause the beer is good and strong.
