We hired Tholl to do some fencing around our home. The installers dug up and broke our waterline…read moreand electrical and just buried the broken pipes and electrical wiring without informing us. Weeks later we found a water pipe flowing water into an obscure area of our yard and noticed that our new landscaping lights weren't working on that side of our yard. We called Tholl and let them know about the damage and they told us that it is our responsibility to inform them of the location of pipes and underground electrical, so they wouldn't take any responsibility for the damage and they wouldn't repair the damage. Now the Tholl employees never told us about the damage and just literally buried it and went away. We paid another contractor to find the wiring issue and repair the water pipe damage since Tholl was not responsive to their damage. We had an outstanding balance with Tholl that was equal to the $1,500 we paid to fix their damage and informed them that we wouldn't pay for their damage. Tholl turned this over to a collection agency that tried very hard to effect our credit scores and would not listen to our side of the story. Bottom line is Tholl did did a mediocre job, damaged our property and wouldn't accept responsibility for their poor workmanship or fix the damage. Then turn us over to a collection service! Learn from our mistake and be cautious with this company. I wish we had researched their reputation before hiring Tholl. Thanks!

Paul and his team came to the rescue to replace our old fence! We had a really weird experience…read morewith a different fence contractor and had to start over from square one, right before we began the work. I'm so glad we found This and That Fence to get a second opinion: the price was lower than what the first person was quoting, but also the level of detail, responsiveness and service Paul provided was incredibly top notch. After walking the yard with us, we received a highly detailed quote of the work ahead (both drawings and written details). This was enough to give us confidence to move forward and schedule with Paul. Every step of the way leading up to the scheduled work date, Paul kept me informed and kept in the loop which I really appreciated. Paul also was able to adhere to what our HOA guidelines asked for, so that there was no risk to the job performed. He was also able to modify the quote based on a shared fence line with a neighbor, bringing the price down a bit more while still providing a good section of fence to be replaced for confidence. Paul finished in a solid two days and we are so amazed by the quality of the work his team completed for us! Thank you, Paul - we will highly recommend you to anyone in need!

It helped, but there's still enough of a leak that we need him to come back and finish the job. Unfortunately, after initially saying he hadn't forgotten about us and he would be getting some additional assistance from a roof specialist, he never followed up. I checked back with him repeatedly by text and phone and he never responded. He was so helpful and attentive before that at this point I suspect something's up and he might no longer be operating (or has perhaps scaled down?).
