I found High Pond Goat Farm at a booth at the Vermont Farmer's Market and I was drawn to it immediately. They were offering lots of goat products, but the chevre stood out for me immediately. It was $7 for 8 oz, whether you wanted plane or flavored. I purchased the garlic dill and it was fantastic. We could not stop eating it. It was gone by the afternoon.
We put it on fresh bread from another stand, crisp apples from yet another, and even crackers from the cabinet. My only regret is that I did not buy multiple containers. They were also selling farm fresh eggs, goat milk, lotion and even their own granola mixture. I highly recommend stopping by this booth and stocking up on some terrific goat cheese! read more
