To Walter B.: Your review breaks my heart after all we've done for you at this church and on a personal level. I prayed with you every Sunday and we talked about this many times. Pastor Cliff did not send you away. He researched (even used his connections) to get you into a Christian program. It was not a homeless shelter. It was a nice place! The program included some of the following: Daily Bible study, individual Christian counseling, work therapy and life skills, accountability, creating healthy relationships, Church attendance, personal study, mentoring, employment and housing. However, you refused to go because you couldn't take your dog (Mo), which we all understood. You are not physically disabled, you have the ability to work a full-time job and you are smarter than you give yourself credit for!! You know we gave you more than a food voucher....a mattress for your van, clothing, gift cards, all kinds of Christmas gifts, birthday gifts and much more! You were living for free on Mike's property in your trailer, but we all wanted more for you than just that. That is why Pastor Cliff shared info with you about the program. He even answered the phone at 4 AM when you called and he tried to explain things to you, but you we're convinced that it was just a way of getting rid of you. It absolutely wasn't!! You tried calling me 10 times the week before you left town. I was sick so I was unable to call you back. However, I eventually sent you a text and even tried calling you, but you had already left town putting your phone out of range. I cried for two days thinking I let you down. We miss you, we love you, and we are always still here for you!! You know you can call me any time! I just may not always be able to answer the phone due to long hours at work.
