Walked in the door the greeter didn't even say hi to me it just started talking to the person behind me. No one came up or greeted me or my son. Everyone was talking to each other and basically ignored us even after finding a spot. Music started and was really loud so we just left. No one said anything to us leaving. Very self absorbed congregation.

When I began my journey into the Orthodox Christian life, Father Ramos and Deacon Steven taught me about the history and traditions of Orthodoxy. They have been patient, welcoming, and eager to help make this journey meaningful. One of the beautiful things I have learned is that Orthodoxy does not go door to door looking for you--you find Orthodoxy. No one forces you to come, and no one pressures you to stay. Honestly, it is kind of weird wriing a review for church. I am sure people are going to see it and…read moresay something and make me awkward... but it's okay! I decided I wanted to show people who don't go to New Life how great it is! (; I think I started coming to NLC around end of summer-ish. I grew up going to church in Tacoma basically my whole life which means I have heard of NLC but always went somewhere else. I thought I would see a lot of familiar faces (this is after I got back from my 1.2 years in California). Not really... surprisingly. Wow it has been almost half a year already and I am so thankful for all the people I have met here. I know it was God who placed me at NLC after I felt alone and abandoned(; I grew closer to Christ with the help of my lovely friends at church! I was so happy to see how bright everyone was shining from their love for God. I really like the pastor's sermons too! I grew up listening to sermons.. that went through one ear out the other. But here, every Sunday I whip out my phone and take some meaningful notes. Later throughout that week or month, I scroll through and I think, "oh wow! That's perfect timing to read this message again". To whomever sees this from New Life Church, I just want to thank you all for making me feel welcome and at home(;

Today, my family and I attended church here for the very first time. Right when we walked into the…read morechurch, so many people said good morning to us and were so welcoming. It was beautiful. We took our daughter to the daycare area. She was so excited! We walked back to find our seats. They began to sing. It was beautiful! They worship! You can hear everyone singing, praying, and dancing. It was so amazing. I even cried. I felt so happy and moved by everyone. Everyone is there to worship and not afraid to show their love for Jesus. We loved it.
