The village itself is no more than a handful of houses; it doesn't even have a shop or post office. The houses are quite upmarket and therefore the residents are not what you would call villagers. In the main people who have moved there and have no real connection with the area. This is evident when observing the clientele in the Bay Horse. The pub does not exude the feeling of a local that you would expect in such a small community. An air of pretension exists and customers are not particulalry made to feel welcome.

The bar staff are friendly and there's a large range of spirits, wines and beer available. The place is popular with students and the drinks prices are reasonable to say it's a town centre pub!
