The candy dishes come in a variety of sizes and wild colors. The lizards, whales, birds ect, are great conversation pieces and all have mounting loops on the back to easily decorate with. this is connected to Mundo de Crystal, so it makes for a great stop when in town.

I have been here on both my trips to Puerto Vallarta and not realize it was two shops until I got my credit card bill. That said. This review is for the pewter side. I was walking down the street headed for lunch at an area food stand when a nice pewter nativity caught my eye, it was a nice size for packing and I was fairly certain that my mother would like it. This visit I only showed to the back of the metal area as I had bought from the glass shop the day before. Coming in from the back street it was a few minutes before I realized it was part of the same larger shop. Besides pewter they have some boxes made from what appears to be tin. And some souvenir type items like magnets. It is all quite nice. bowls, boxes, large and smaller nativity sets...the list goes on. The prices seemed quite reasonable to me. In the end I bought two of the nativities, my seems to really like hers and I like mine as well, I also picked up a metal (tin?) Box that I liked and a couple of magnets, the bill came to $38 on my visa bill. It's not the cheapest place to pick up a souvenir but their stuff is nice. It's a nice shop. (if you're coming from Bassilo Badillo it is off the big glass shop on the corner a bit past and across the street from the large OXXO. Oh and one more thought, everything was well wrapped for my trip home. Without me even asking. Just like at the glass place (minus the newspaper.)

Hotel: People at the hotel were not welcoming. Instead,…read morethey found out we were from California and immediately tried to sell us on "Adventure packages". We blew it off and told them that we would get back to them once we settled into our hotel room. We hadn't been there even 5 minutes before they wanted to sell us things. We went up to our room, the guy handling our luggage had to be the nicest person we met at the hotel. Through our stay he would always say hi and see if we needed anything else. I don't know why everyone was so salty, we were on our honey moon and thought that they would be a little more welcoming... nope. The rooms were okay. They remind me of small condos, bedroom, bath and kitchen. The best part was the huge balcony and view. The 'Presentation': The worse experience from the entire trip was giving in to there "Adventure Package Discount" which was suppose to consist of a one hour presentation. We wanted to save some money so agreed to go get our 'free breakfast' and do the dang presentation. The presentation consists of being walked to the front of the hotel were you're asked your income, age, and occupation. It was super invasive and you have no time alone. They sit with you during breakfast and watch you like a hawk asking you the most personal questions. I wish I could remember the woman's name that sat down with us, she had dyed blondish/light brown hair. As we left our breakfast she said we could leave a tip for the guys, I looked at my husband and he informed me that he didn't even bring his wallet so we just kept walking to the presentation. Once we got inside they kicked a couple out of the room where they were going to show us what this vacation package deal was all about. They were so rude and kicked them out only because they weren't Americans. She wouldn't let us leave the room until we asked her 5 questions about the program. Literally told us she won't let us out until we give her some feedback so that she can tell her manager that she did her job. It was so awkward. At this point the hour had been over and we are not even close to being done. They take us outside where her manager tries to sell us this absurd package. They wanted us to decide right at that moment to buy their $30,000 package. No, they didn't say that upfront but my husbands really good at math and was able to get through the fine print. The lady doing the presentation didn't even know how to use the calculator and became angry when we told her we didn't want to buy. She told us why did we even come if we weren't going to buy. I reminded her that I had told her we just came for the discount. She became furious and told us that nothing in life is free and the we need to give the guys a tip. I told her that we don't even have pesos she said that they accept dollars. At this point I was so upset but my husband not knowing Spanish gave the guys our cash. She walked us to the front furiously and handed us off to a guy to give us a discount. The entire time she gave me the dirtiest look. I had never ever experienced something like that in my life. Hence the essay of a review. Americans, stay away from the "Free Breakfast Presentation" or anything that is attributed to the Vallarta Adventure discounts. They are vultures and extremely rude. We are so glad we did not purchase anything from them since they refused to let us do research about it. We got back to our hotel and I looked up the package they were trying to sell us and found this consumer affairs report that proves it is a con scheme. (the link is down below) The only reason I don't give this hotel a 1 is because the beach was beautiful and it was my honeymoon and no one could ever ruin that. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/travel/royal-holiday.html

It's bougie as hell, and he thinks he's soooo cool everytime he does it. I guess he kind of is. Maybe. No matter where we are in the world, on the last day, he takes a few hours to himself to revisit a couple of his favourite spots. These spots often include stores, and without fail he always swipes plastic. It's like he panics about never returning and needing a piece of the trip... and he always picks something fancy, and often challenging to pack. On a recent holiday to Sayulita, like clockwork, on the last day my husband golf carted to Evoke The Spirit. We'd been in this stunning store a few times and he returned for the goods. In our case, a beautiful sand-coloured vase that now sits in our dining room. In your case, who knows! But I do know, whether you want to spend or just stare, you'll love this store.

I've always been against the idea of purchasing a skull to be hung in my house. I'm not into hunting. I think skulls are pretty aggressive usually. Their skulls though... they are BEAUTIFUL. To make something so dreamy out of something so harsh is really unbelievable. And another thing that has be going against my nature: their ash trays make me want to take up smoking... it should be illegal. I'm not going to say another word about this heavenly shop, go see it for yourself! It's an absolute must see!

This store had good reviews and it was recommended by some locals that it was worth visiting. The store is about 15 min away from Dreams resort. The owner of Cristal is super kind and helped me out. Loved all the different type of cups i bought and also an appetizer tray. The last time I bought hand blown glass wear was many moons ago in Cabo and I had only one left from the 6 that I bought. Can't wait to try the new ones out at home. They are gorgeous and always remind me of Mexico every time I use them. My fav is the navy blue trim water glasses with the dimples on the side. This store had the most beautiful selection of lots of things. I wish I could have bought more!! But hubby was getting mad cause of bringing it home on plane.
