I remember being five years old and being dragged around Choice. I was comforted only by the…read moreknowledge that one day I would be in my twenties and able to do what I want. Cut to years later and my then girlfriend says "I want to go to Choice". "Do I get a choice?" is my retort. She smiled at me, in that way women do - and then two hours later the receipt is reeling off and my debit card is £60 worse off; all because I was tricked into buying her a pile of rubbish from Choice. Miraculously, this place hasn't changed in twenty years. Same colours, same staff, possibly even the same clothes. Choice is one of those curious cases where a business survives even when most people wish it wouldn't. This place is more bland than a closed down Littlewoods; no man has ever liked this place. However, women continuously flock there in search of bargain socks and other things that nobody in their right mind would ever want. It confuses me.
Central Park sells mid range and some inexpensive clothing and shoes. The sister store next door…read morereplicates the style of Central Park but makes it more casual. The second shop is the Factory Outlet. I like Central Park but I think Factory Outlet sucks. A 7 pound tracksuit is just too chavtastic for me in purple and pink terry cloth. There was a 2 pound jewellery table too ( Central Park had a closer to 10 pound table). Verdict: This shop is okay to have a look around. Central Park can still be a bit expensive and Factory Outlet is total Norf London neighbourhood girls wear for people that listen to Fergie or Mutya.

My brief story and what I sent them: About 4 years ago I purchased a document bag to replace an LL Bean bag I had for years. Thought I would step it up a tad. Love the bag, but then somehow the metal bracket on the shoulder strap breaks? How is that even possible? Not happy. About 100 hours later (they promise an already achingly slow 72 hours to respond) "Aimee" sends this: Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Ted has received a lot of emails recently (probably from crappy products...I added this), and he hasn't been able to respond as quickly as he likes to! (Oh Ted, please make customer service a priority) I am very sorry to hear of the disappointment you have experienced concerning the quality of your document bag. All Ted Baker's collections undertake strict quality control testing; however, we accept that a small minority of flawed items may slip through the net. I will be sure to make note of this occurrence, and it will be taken on board for future reference. (Please make a note of this). What I sent them in response: Ted making a note of something is weak, trite and solves nothing. So far I am very underwhelmed by Teds slow response and weak customer service regarding its products. Shame on Ted Baker for charging a decent amount for its products and then not standing behind its "quality" products. Would I buy another product or recommend it to others? Seems they are no better than other online places with products probably made in China. And excuses probably from a booklet. Sadly nobody really cares at Ted Baker. Lesson learned: Shop elsewhere. Products attract; Poor service repels.
