We found Majestic Preparatory Academy and was amazed from day one! Teachers and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to spend the extra time needed with my child or to answer any questions we may have. Student to teacher ratio is 10 so the teachers have the ability to take care of individual students needs. My child not only caught up but exceeded his education requirements for the year! His confidence level increased 100%. They went on field trips and enjoyed many activities throughout the year. This place has been a blessing and we are looking forward to the summer program as well as a new school year in the fall.

My kids feel safe, respected, challenged, and cherished. And they get to go on independence-building, eye-opening, amazingly fun trips every year! We had zero problems transitioning to middle and high school because the environment is so inclusive. As a parent, witnessing that development of an empathetic and open mindset has been truly one of the most important outcomes in our current day.

The teachers are exceptional, and exceptionally committed to engaging gifted children. We love the diversity of the school and faculty, and we appreciate the support for social and emotional development as well as academics. We also love the opportunities for international travel that are back after being paused for covid. We hope the high school especially will keep growing, but accept that our kids' peer groups are smaller than at other schools as the flip side of having small classes and individual engagement from teachers. As our older son begins looking at colleges, the dedicated college counseling they provide is also a huge plus.

I see they somehow deleted my review from a few years ago…read more DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS "SCHOOL". The "teachers", incompetent. The facilities, piss poor. The principal, a money hungry, lying, conniving woman! The only reason my child went here is because someone convinced my son's mother that this awful establishment was a decent place for children to learn. Upon my first time dropping my son off, I got the impression it was everything but that. From their humble beginnings in an office park building they've managed to transfer to a new location with stolen funds all while falsely claiming to be a center of excellence. If they're so excellent, explain to me why one of their very own teachers couldn't discern between a noun and a verb. Explain why that same teacher didn't have an education license to save the school money. Also explain why that teacher was formerly a correction officer no more than 6 months prior with no prior education background. These are the individuals the principal are hiring to teach your kids. The principal herself is a joke. She's too scared to even have a face to face conversation about how terrible her staff is and threatened to call the cops on me for wanting to have a private face to face convo with her and one of her staff. Trust me, you'd be better off saving your money because you won't get the value for what you've spent when you could have sent your child to Georgia State for a year instead for what it cost to go to Philmore. You'll regret it and wish you'd taken heed. I beg of you, don't do it to yourself or to your child. I promised this woman I'd ruin her business and I will not stop until she's out of business! The post below is so she doesn't come on here lying as if she's never dealt with me before.

She's constantly having her staff wait for their paychecks, because the only thing she prioritizes is her wardrobe and personal expenses. This experience was so disappointing. Our children are now excelling at other schools and their grades aren't being manipulated to create a false sense of excellence. If the school is so excellent why aren't her school-age children attending?

Our kids began St Francis in 2021 (5th & 6th grades) and it has been life-changing. It's truly a…read morehidden gem for families seeking a college preparatory education in a welcoming, structured environment. With varied academic levels--including AP, Honors, and two tiers of College Prep, students are both challenged and supported, allowing every student to thrive & receive the individual attention they deserve. Our son struggles with executive functioning and has thrived with the supportive routines; our daughter, a more typical learner, has also excelled. The curriculum is intentionally process-oriented, broken down into manageable segments so students gain mastery, not just memorization. There's a strong emphasis on organizational skills, note-taking (Cornell method), research skills, and effective study habits. The mandatory "Homework Hour" and use of assignment planners help students build discipline and self-reliance; as parents, we appreciate that most homework is completed at school. It's an excellent fit for students with dyslexia or ADHD, but also offers plenty of challenge--including Honors and AP options, for academically advanced or typical learners. St Francis sets high, but appropriate, expectations for all. A previous post mentioned the point system. This system is an amazing way to help students with accountability. The post mentioned 3-10 kids per week that might have to wear the uniform on Fridays. This point system is at the K-8 campus. That equates to about 1-2% of the kids each week. That means ~99% get their homework completed each night and don't have a behavior issue at school. We have not experienced any vaping or bullying, the staff, creates a safe community. Students and staff are respectful and kind. Both staff and admin are accessible, present on campus, and genuinely care about each child. Our experience with the school's college guidance program has been especially impressive; counselors work closely with students to chart a successful course to their desired college. If there's a weakness, it's that the campus buildings and grounds aren't new and flashy. It's important for prospective families to know that the academic excellence and caring community here far outweigh how our campus compares to some of the other newer private school campuses. If you're searching for a school that prioritizes strong values and a college preparatory path, St Francis deserves your attention. We are deeply invested in this community, and are grateful every day for what this school offers. St Francis is one of those rare places where students are truly known, respected, and equipped with the habits and confidence needed for lifelong success. We love St. Francis and are proud to recommend it wholeheartedly!
