The driveway to the club splits holes #17 and #18 and is lined with tall, silver-maple trees offering a "Magnolia Lane" type feel to it. Twin Ponds itself is very scenic and well kept, and notably contains two bodies of water from which the name is derived. The wooded surroundings are consistent and broken up only by occasional homes on the perimeter of course. The fairways are relatively straight and moderate in distance for par. Greens play true, albeit sometimes fast in the heat of the summer. Overall, a great course for novice and skilled players alike. My experiences have always been positive when having a golf outing or special event - for which they also exceed expectations. The gardens are beautiful and provide an ample location for photo taking. The large ballroom contains a circular bar and panoramic windows offering great views. It's a great atmosphere inside the facility as the open layout makes it easy for guests to mingle. The food never disappoints, although I can't say I've had a great deal of variety from recent memory. Overall, a great place to spend a day golfing or to forge a lasting memory with family and friends. I consider this club a 'hidden gem' within the greater city of Utica and would highly recommend it.

I would have given it 5 stars if not for one thing…read more We used a Group Golfer voucher to try this place for the first time. The course is in good condition and a fun challenge. What I did NOT like, was as we approached the 9th tee, there was a young woman sitting in a cart. She asked "Did Mark tell you about the wedding happening today? You can't tee off here right now". So then, we had to sneak around the crowd watching these two people, about to ruin their lives, and quickly tee off on 10 which was still within earshot of the utter chaos and cliche silliness that a wedding brings. To me, to have a wedding ceremony directly behind the 9th green and adjacent to the 10th tee is bullsh*t. Will I ever go back? Perhaps. But I will make sure they aren't having an effing wedding, Bar Mitzvah, dog's birthday party or some other nonsense RIGHT ON THE COURSE. Find a better place to have such things at your golf AND event center. That was just sh*tty and rude.

It is relatively "quiet" on a Friday night but the vibe is nice and decoration is neat, very good for a date night out. Ordered crispy wings with Parmesan and garlic flavor, a miss peachy cocktail, a UC draft, main course with street tacos and bunker burger. The miss peach cocktail is so tasty! Loved it. Not sure how much alcohol in it as I could not really taste it - actually worked for me. The crispy wings are not bad too. Nice flavor though a bit greasy. The wing itself has flavors without sauce. My street taco is with beef. The tortillas are toasted, which is a nice touch, the sauce, the salsa and the guacamole are nice and pairing very well with the taco. HOWEVER! The beef is quite SALTY. I could finish most of it by adding the salsa and the Guac but man, it was just too salty. Sir Flower's burger is massive. Two patties stacked with their special French fries, though tried with Guy's smashing technique, it was still too big to handle with "dignity", lol. French fires are interesting, large pieces and give it a unique texture. Overall, it is a nice place to check out. Will go back for the drinks for sure. #thisisutica #cnyrestaurants
