The interior has maintained much of its original structure. In 1943 the restaurant opened for lunch and dinner and still maintaining its 50s vibe. I felt like I transported back to the 50s. The owner was serving the customers working behind the counter and out on the dining room floor. The service was exceptionally great. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I ate a grilled cheese sandwich with pickles and chips. I took potato soup to go for dinner later. The food was amazing. It tasted like a home-cooked meal. You have to try the soda fountain it's one of the few ones left, where they make sodas 1950 style. They have homemade pies too. Great food, chill drinks, vintage vibe! Cheers

The difference between the Hibachi and Samurai bowls are rice NOODLES and udon NOODLES. Plus rice, fried or white. If you are like me and just want meat and vegetables and rice, you have to make sure to tell them no noodles. The sauce also does not come on the side, it comes on top of your noodles. So if you have ordered four different sauces, good luck. The chicken teriyaki dumplings were pretty tasty, and the food itself was okay. But it was a lot of carbs. My friend was not very impressed. She felt that the whole meal lacked cohesion. I felt that the restaurant needed to hire me to rewrite the menu in a cohesive manner. There were just random words all over the place!
