This is a review for the location in the Apple Hill area. It was through my initial search for a cider brewery that I found Hidden Star. I saw they had a location in Camino, CA and took the day trip with the family. Unfortunately, when I first did my research, I didn't know I was about 3 weeks pregnant. When I found out, I realized I would not be able to try the beers. But worry not! There was a lovely lavender strawberry drink which was absolutely fantastic! They had hot apple cider and pressed cider for sale as well. The apple cider donuts were phenomenal and I dream of them often. The owners were present and met us know they had had an extra busy day with a marathon that had taken place earlier. Nevertheless, the tiredness did not affect the quality of their service. They were kind, gracious, and gave us useful information for a future trip. Although it was a bit of a drive, we'd be happy to return! The ambiance was welcoming for families with plenty of space for the littles to explore. It can be difficult to find spaces that are spacious and comfortable for children to enjoy. I appreciated the selection of baked goods, beverages, dried fruits, sauces, and merch. Can't wait to go back in the summer and fall with our new little baby. read more

The service was fantastic. Super nice lady made us their HOT Grilled Cheese which is as of right now the Best grilled cheese I have ever had. Apple fritter was not greasy at all and tasted great. Didn't check out their awesome park for kids and families but it looked really fun. Oh, and if you ever wanted a lemonade that was mixed with apple cider I highly suggest checking this place out. read more

Came across this stand at the Campbell Farmer's Market on a relatively warm day and we wanted something nice and refreshing to start! Originally bought a small bottle of their pomegranate apple cider ($4 for one or 2 for $7) and thought it was so freakin tasty that we came back after lunch and bought 1 pint of the pomegranate apple cider and 1 pint of the lemon apple cider (2 for $12). The pricing is very reasonable & I'll definitely be back soon to support them! read more

The perfect refreshing juice! On a hot and sunny day at the farmers' market... this was the best pick-me-up! Their prices are so affordable! Over the years, they have somehow managed to continue to only charge $3 a pint. You can't beat that price! I definitely recommend the Apple Cherry Cider. You can tell it's real fruit juice. Sweet, a bit tart, and very thirst-quenching. I love that they store their juice frozen, so it is chilled and a bit icey when you buy it. read more

Perfect for a hot day at the farmers market! They have apple cider, different flavors of apple cider, fruit juices, and hard apple cider! The Apple Lemon Cider pint ($3) was lightly carbonated, sweet and tart from the lemon cider. I loved how it was slightly frozen so it was like a slushy! Also perfect for long drives since it'll stay cold. read more

Wonderful juice place that really hit the spot. Given location the prices weren't too bad and you could split a quart with someone else.

Great juice that is fresh and unique. The apple pomegranate was sweet and tart. Great combo. The gentlemen was helpful. highly recommend the orange juice as well. Fresh orange juice is hard to come by without all the added sugars. Very affordable as well. read more

Stopped by here for some hard cider tasting and he let us taste all of it!! He was so nice but most importantly the hard cider was amazing!! Really good flavor!! Hidden Star Orchards usually sells fruits and juices. not so at eat real fest. just dried fruit. local: eat real fest (9/27) eats: apple chips (5) -from organic apples -lightly sweet with some tartness. drink: cherry apple cider (Qt, 5) grand lake FM(10/25) -made with organic apples, cheeries very sweet, no sugar listed. crumbs: -probably would go well with some white wine. -doesn't compare to pototo chips or dried fruit, not as tasty. read more

I wish I could give a five star rating to this farm but when my daughter and I stopped by yesterday to find some food and goodies the first thing we noticed was a sandwich board with what sounded like a tasty lunch possibility. Pizza, grilled cheese sandwich with apple in both. We first went into the barn and checked out all the different ciders they offered. Then went into the bakery/food ordering place. Ordered grilled cheese and pizza with apple. We went outside to find someplace to eat at the many picnic tables they have available. There is also another area that we couldn't tell if that was a place to eat or not as well. Every single table was dirty and we were searching about for just a clean corner of one. In both areas. Just a bummer when you go to eat somewhere, pay a fair amount for food and cannot find even a tiny place to sit. Went to try the ciders and when asked for a sampling was met with a rather blank stare and stony silence. Yes, we would like a sip please. The cider was delicious and the food good.. It was a very very mellow day up at Apple Hill, not busy at all. I am docking them for lack of cleanliness and unfriendly service. Even the lady in the Bakery was not welcoming. I will be stopping at any one of the other farms up at Apple Hill. I would rather frequent somewhere that wants my business. Thanks read more

I remember when the Farmer's Market started in a parking lot along the Embarcadero, moved to the plaza behind the Hyatt Regency SF, and finally moved to the Ferry Building. Through these times, I remember the apple vendor who had the best fresh squeezed juices.... love my apple juice. Then, he came out with grape juice and a combination apple cherry juice, which is what I bought today. It comes in three sizes: a) pint - $3.00, b) quart = $5.00, c) half gallon - $7.00 No, it's not the bottled stuff that's been sitting on a delivery truck and a fridge for who knows how long; that's why you have to drink it within two or three days. Johann is very kind, friendly, and informative. Like me, he loves his sports too (Giants? A's? Warriors?). On those warm summer days, there's nothing like quenching that thirst with an ice cold bottle of juice. Oh, I forgot to mention, his stuff is organic. read more

I bought their products today from the Campbell Farmers Market and I loved their apple ciders. I bought an original apple cider and a cherry apple cider. It's one of the best apple ciders I've had. I definitely enjoyed it and would love to buy more. The only thing is I felt that the juice was a little pricy, especially the pomegranate juice. We have been going to this, our favorite orchard, for 30 years. New name and owners since July. Not friendly. Nothing is baked fresh on site. They lied about the apple cider, they sell apple juice from San Leandro but said it was cider. No apple cider donuts, they became defensive when we asked about them. The classic apple pie that stands 3 inches high, loaded with apples, gone. The plate sized apple fritters are now any bakery fritters. The cozy bakers, friendly smiles and delicious smells have given way to their hard apple cider. read more

I bought one of their apple cider juices at a Art and Wine festival and it was so good. It was so cold and stayed cold as I walked around the Festival. Real fruit juice incredible! Would love to buy more of it but not sure where to find it. I need more now I am hooked! read more

This is the best juice i have ever had and i have had fresh squeezed juices from brazil. The juice i tried had a prefect balance of flavor and sweetness. After trying this i will never buy store bought juice. I love that the juice is not pasturized. I hate how everything we eat or drink is processed. read more
