We thought it would be a great fit for our 10-month-old son. From the moment we got there, the Director did not greet us very welcomingly. She seemed very rushed and anxious by having us there. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable tour. When we finished, we mentioned that we would like to get on the waitlist, as many daycares are stating that their availability is full. Her direct response was, "I would visit other daycares before making the decision or choice to enrolling at Goddard." I have never felt so rejected and disrespected of my time. This is not the way a first-time parent should feel about providing their child the best education/care. I honestly can say that this is an inclusion school, not diverse at all. Very disappointed!

Beware! The owner believes herself to be above the state laws for Pre-K programs!…read more Charges $165 per MONTH for lunch ($8 per day - do you spend that much on YOUR lunch? Can you say "profit center"? State guidelines are a MAX of $120 per month) Refuses to allow lunch to be provided by the parent for Pre-K programs, although state law says it is required to be allowed if any other class in school can bring food from home. Now she says that yes, you can bring lunch from home, but must STILL pay $80 per month, to NOT be provided any food! Yeah, profit center. She does not care at all about the laws of the state. She was asked about other options for low income families and lied to each and every person in Georgia Pre-k. State law says the state must approve any disenrollment, but Farah threw my son out today, while calling me names (possibly homophobic or maybe just because I am a young struggling veteran). What did I do? Explained the law to her that said she could not charge for lunch if the student was a "Category 1" student. She told me I still owed her money. That she could kick out my son because it is her school. If you ask for an accounting, don't think you will get something from a computer. No - handwritten scribbles. I have asked MULTIPLE times for a bill. Dont expect her organization to improve We have used other Goddard Schools - this one is horrible. The teachers here are amazing but the second you say anything about the ridiculous prices or the owner breaking the law *and yes, there is now an open investigation and this school may be on probation* she will kick you out and embarrass you. The owner does not care about your children. Only your wallet.

Primrose is a wonderful school! We began searching for daycare facilities for our first daughter…read moreback when she was only 6 months old. As new parents, the thought of handing her care over to someone else was terrifying... but when we met the staff at Primrose, all concerns went away. The teachers and staff truly care for and love their students. They are very communicative and ensure we have visibility into everything she does throughout the day. Our daughter comes home every week having learned something new. We highly recommend Primrose to any parents who are looking for a daycare facility who will treat your children like their own!

She has 3 teachers, Miss Brandy, Miss Kendra, and Miss Jonelle, all of whom are wonderful. They send tons of pictures and updates in the app to keep us aware of her activities throughout the day. Primrose provides monthly calendars with school-wide activities as well as a full calendar of future breakfasts, lunches and snacks, which parents can review and approve. We know if there ever was a concern, the leadership team would handle immediately (all of whom know the name of every child in every class, which is amazing to me). Very happy with our decision to send our child to Primrose.

Review for Huntington Learning Center of Woodstock…read more Our experience with the Huntington Learning Center of Woodstock this summer was unfortunately disappointing--especially considering we had worked with them in the past, under a different director, with no issues at all. The change in management has significantly impacted the professionalism and overall experience. We enrolled both of our sons for summer tutoring and had initially agreed upon a discounted rate with the previous director for enrolling multiple children. However, that agreement was later disregarded by the owner, who insisted we pay the full amount--$5,000--upfront, even though no assessments or personalized learning plans had been completed yet. We clearly stated our intention to pay weekly while Huntington conducted evaluations and developed a structured academic plan. Instead of honoring that, the owner repeatedly pressured us and even interrupted one of my son's tutoring sessions--not only disrupting his learning but also directly questioning him, a minor, about how he planned to pay for the session. We found this to be highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Despite no game plan being shared and assessments still pending, she sold expensive books to our sons--knowing they had a credit card meant only for weekly session payments--and charged the books without our prior approval. Shortly afterward, she emailed us stating that services would be discontinued because we hadn't paid the full $5,000 upfront. We attempted to continue the program at the Alpharetta location, where the director initially had everything set up for us to start. However, after speaking with the Woodstock owner, he reversed course and refused to work with us as well. We then requested the academic assessments we had already paid for. The owner first refused to provide them, and after we pointed out that the assessments were conducted during paid sessions, she reluctantly agreed to send them but said she would not explain the results. We told her that was fine--but we never received anything. Fortunately, we are now working with a different tutor outside of Huntington. While his hourly rate is slightly higher, the total time built into his program is less than half of what Huntington wanted to charge us $5,000 for--and we are already seeing amazing results. After this experience, my older son even admitted that Huntington seemed to intentionally move slowly to extend the timeline and charge for more sessions. We're sharing this review to help other families make an informed decision. Our past experience with Huntington Woodstock was smooth and productive under the former director, but since the change in leadership, our experience has been marked by broken agreements, unprofessional behavior, and poor communication. We're relieved to have found a more effective and transparent alternative.

As a former educator, I am appalled at the unprofessional and rude attitude displayed by the…read moredirector at the Woodstock GA location. Conferences to review the initial assessment were scheduled and then cancelled on two consecutive days. The staff is evidently not privy to her schedule to assist them when they are scheduling conferences or she approved them (one employee put me on hold to speak with her about availability) and then had staff call me to reschedule due to a meeting one day and "administrative" duties the next. When she called at my request so that a schedule could be resolved for the conference she was rude, stated that conferences were never scheduled before noon ( I was offered several 11:30am slots or from 9-3 on the second day), and stated that having the assessor involved in the conference was not the way they did things even though that was a request that was granted when I scheduled/rescheduled on both dates. I questioned why the communication between her and her staff was so lacking and this made her mad. She said that now the assessor would not be in the conference. I stated, while being rudely talked over repeatedly, that none of this was shared verbally or with a brochure when I iinitially contracted for services and that as educators we look at the whole child to assess strengths and weaknesses so it was important that the person who assessed him provide feedback on demeanor, attentiveness, etc. during assessment. She (the director) had never even met the child. She never offered a time/date for a conference. I stated that this was not in the child's best interest and that I'd just like my money back and she could keep the assessment results. She said no and that I could pick up the results(no conference for explanation or suggestions). She then said "I have another conference and hung up on me. If this is indicative of how Huntington works then my professional advice is to steer clear of them if you want help for your child.

This is a lengthy review--because it's an important one. If…read moreyou're a parent weighing trust, safety, and support for your child, I hope you'll read this through. What happened here should matter to all of us. When a childcare center--an institution meant to nurture and protect--responds to a parent's concern with legal threats instead of accountability, it betrays its very purpose. This isn't just corporate crisis management. This is a place entrusted with children, choosing image over integrity and intimidation over compassion. When the business of care puts PR above people, especially children, that's not just disappointing--it's disqualifying. We asked for help. We pleaded for partnership as our child--fresh off a stellar pre-K year--struggled with a difficult transition. We came to them with honesty, transparency, and hope. In return, we got nothing. No plan. No compassion. No meaningful response. Just behavioral labels, silence, and distance. Then came the moment that broke our trust: our five-year-old was left in emotional distress--alone, in a foyer, crying--while staff stood by and did nothing. No comfort. No connection. No basic human decency. This is not a "difference of opinion." This is a violation of what childcare is supposed to be. All I ever wanted was acknowledgment and a sincere apology. What I got instead was a cease and desist letter. You don't get to violate trust and then police the truth. No ownership. No empathy. Just an attempt to bully me into silence. They wanted my review gone. They wanted my voice quiet. But I will never be silent when it comes to my child's dignity and well-being. I stand by my experience--and I'm not alone. Scroll through the honest 1-star reviews from other families who've spoken up about similar concerns. Then contrast those with the sudden flood of 5-star ratings from employees, friends, and those clearly tied to the business. It's manufactured praise designed to bury real feedback. Even worse are the generic, dismissive corporate replies: tone-deaf, cold, and entirely disengaged from the actual harm experienced. There was a time when this center felt like a second home. That changed when it came under corporate management. A once nurturing environment became cold, calculated, and "business-first." Longstanding teachers left. The warmth was gone. Leadership changed, and so did the values. When care becomes too inconvenient, children stop being seen as learners--and start being labeled as problems. When a center punishes feedback, silences concerns, and starts treating children like liabilities instead of humans -- I believe that's no longer a safe place for any family.

While my son was there he had a few different teachers in his class for appropriate fill ins, but his main teachers Ms. Madi and Ms. Cindy were absolute angels. All of the teachers were! I never had any worries or complaints and all of the teachers followed our family plan as asked. I always received timely updates on diapering, sleeping, and feeding as well as a lot of photos and videos. I truly appreciate the thorough updates now that I've seen an alternative to be honest - my son's teachers would call to even let me know if he seemed extra irritated or seemed unwell even if he didn't have a fever or obvious signs and i was thankful because i would always go right away to pick him up, even if it wasn't required. Also, Heather, the Asst Director (I think that was her role) was also incredible! She was always such a warm welcome every morning and always made my boy smile! She always informed me of anything going on in the class or with my child (sickness) and also took the time to get to know my sweet babe individually. Needless to say, we love the Sunshine House and would certainly recommend it.
