There was no attempt to calmly clarify the misunderstanding, no respect shown, and afterward there was not even an apology offered for the embarrassment caused. Being falsely accused in front of others is degrading and unacceptable, especially when we were legitimate customers actively shopping and making a purchase. We understand stores need to prevent theft, but that does not justify treating customers in an inhumane or accusatory manner without facts. Situations like this should be handled with discretion, professionalism, and respect -- not public humiliation. We expect acknowledgment of how poorly this situation was handled and an apology for the false accusation and embarrassment caused to our family.

I purchased a pair of shoes for my daughter that were on clearance. When I asked the associate at…read morethe front if they were able to be returned, he said yes. The clearance shoes come in a ripped box with no lid--it's just a piece of trash, really.When I asked the associate if I could return said shoes, he said nothing about keeping a dilapidated piece of cardboard that didn't even have a lid. Then the shoes did not fit my daughter, even though they were her size-they were tight and squeezing her feet and she was crying, as toddlers do-and she's not even picky about shoes. I went to take it back , but of course I threw the piece of trash box away because it's broken and then they told me they couldn't give me my money back, no credit or anything because there's no box. when I asked if I could return them, he should have said keep the box, not "tags and receipt." The tags are still on the shoes, shoes are still connected. If the box is so necessary, don't rip it up and hand customers trash.
