A great Indian option in Bordeaux! Like other reviewers, we decided to veer away from the canard…read moreand foie gras and try something different. We were very glad we did! Firstly, I'd highly recommend using and making reservations on The Fork. It's an app with reviews and other useful information, but many reservations are tied to discounts. We received a discount of 30% off our entire order just for making a reservation. My husband started with the signature cocktail, which tasted like mango juice with vodka. A WHOLE LOT of vodka. I just had a "carafe de l'eau", which is what you should ask for at any restaurant if you want tap water. The papadums were very interesting, not like any I've had in the US, and they were quite good. The garlic naan was good, but I did have to scrape off some of the garlic because there was waaayyy too much for my liking. The cheese naan was fantastic. My husband LOVED the muttar paneer, and the lamb dishes we tried were good too, even though the lamb was a different color and texture than what we were used to. We had to order rice separately, which is always annoying because who is going to eat a bowl of curry without rice ? We also had to order 4 entrees to make an entire meal for both of us. But thanks to the 30% off deal, the meal still ended up being quite affordable. I cannot not mention the interior of this restaurant! Absolutely beautiful, and very inviting. This could be a great date night option! Or fun for a group! I have a feeling that many a good time has been had in this place.

The Lamb Vindaloo is divine, wish we had just ordered 2 of these. Tender and spicy. I loved this. The chicken curry was meh and the veggie curry was cold and blah. Our naan was a little underwhelming so I can't recommend it... but others looked better. These are extremely tiny, the size of a bread plate at most and quite expensive. In America we can get naan for the same price or even a little less and triple the size... Overall a cute little restaurant to switch up. Don't expect it to be like Los Angeles or New York standard... I was pleasantly surprised with the spice level.

I had jalfrezi and she had korma and they were super yummy. Her korma was NOT sweet but it was all the things a mild curry should be. My jalfrezi was also mild, but tomato-based and full of yellow peppers and onions. We each had a naan and shared a portion of rice and there was plenty of food on the table. The service was good and kind. Buyers beware, the peshwari naan had cheese melted inside (delicious, but...) the only thing I though was wrong with it was that we were the only people there!

The food was overpriced and mediocre too. Overall, the experience was very unpleasant and I would not go back again. Absolutement terrible. So we go in the decor is so outdated and everyone is wearing black pants and shirts in a hot day.... we get seated and open the huge menu and see that those prices are in fact reserved for lunch!!! I actually said that to the manager that you we came for those prices and it's not the case he didn't answer me turned his back and left!!! I ordered the Keshmiri salad for starter which was described as deboned chicken and some exotic fruit and veggies spices and cream which turned out to be a bowl of disgusting creamy watery soup with exactly 5 dice sized cubes of chicken breast and a couple of grapes cut in half, no salt no taste just a bowl of awfulness for 5.80 €!!! They had a metal support of some kind on the table to put the dishes on, which didn't make sens and wasn't the same shape as the dishes so it kept moving and it was too high I couldn't see my friend so I would push is to the side of the table and the manager kept rearranging our table angrily till I snapped at him when he actually put the damn thing on my phone's screen!!!!! the main dish was very tasty but they put one portion (and a half maybe) of rice in a shared dish for two. and there is no bread or salt and pepper or sauce on the table. If you want to have some bread your only choice is to buy Nan for 3.5 € a portion and they take the rest of it and the provided sauces away, as soon as you're done with your starter and check 10 times to see if you re finished. waiters hand you the hot plates instead of putting it in front of you (to be fair actually they once did slide the bowl of cream from the other side of the table to my plate and in splashed a bit on my watch......) I ain't going back that's for sure!
