I came in to just try their plain jasmine tea and got it iced for a hot summer day. I found the tea to be quite bitter and lacking in jasmine scent. For a shop that is supposed to be known for their teas, I was pretty disappointed. If your base tea isn't up to par, then you're likely just masking it with sugar/milk. On that note, my partner got the jasmine citrus refresher and it did taste better, sugar and citrus masked the bitterness of the tea but the jasmine was still faint. Perhaps they're still working out kinks since I'm not sure how long this location has been here but I've heard good things about Chagee but was pretty disappointed. For the price of their teas and their supposed focus on tea, I was expecting more.

My mom had a Hot Americano, and I had an Iced Vanilla Latte. I ordered mine decaf, with non-fat milk and very light ice, and I was so happy because they made it perfectly just the way I asked. The Vanilla Latte I ordered was incredibly delicious (it wasn't too sweet, just really good), and my mom also loved her Americano and said it tasted great. I think this place is always crowded because all their coffee is delicious and the staff is so friendly. Also, I really like that the cups they serve the coffee in are so pretty! One thing, though: the female cashier who took my coffee order didn't catch my name even when I told her it was Diane. She said a different name, so I clearly spelled it out for her, and then did she say, "Oh, Diane?" and corrected it. I've never had anyone anywhere fail to understand my name when I say it, so that bothered me a little bit today. It's not a huge deal, but in that moment, I just felt a little uncomfortable.

Today, they opened their windows so there was a wonderful breeze while sitting inside having our drinks. The only caviat is that the tables and floors don't get cleaned up promptly but it would be a bit difficult since customers are just coming and going. Seating is a hit and miss. Other than that, worth a visit, or two or three!

If you prefer something that's not sweet out of these options I'd go with the tea latte. The teas delicious. If you want something sweet, the refresher and daydreams the way to go The common theme of every chagee I've been too is the quality of service. Staff is always polite and upbeat - maybe it's the caffeine, maybe not haha. All jokes aside, chagee is a great place to get tea, sit and converse, or get your work done.

I got the Boya jasmine green tea latte ($6.45 for large) and the peach oolong pure tea ($4.95 for regular size), both with regular sugar and less ice. I wasn't impressed at all by the peach oolong, as it didn't have a fragant tea taste and wasn't that sweet. I had to go back and ask for some extra sugar syrup for this drink, which made it a little bit more palatable. However, the jasmine green tea latte was delicious! Would 100% recommend getting this drink. The flavor of the jasmine tea really came through, and at regular sweetness, the drink was just sweet enough without being too cloying. This location is fairly small limited seating, but since it's located in the food court, there is plenty of seating nearby.
