My daughter and I knew we would love COA when we first toured it with Ms Sandra the director. My…read moredaughter started her learning path with COA September of this year. She's a preK student. She has two great teachers by the name of Ms Amanda and Ms Angie, my daughter admires these two women so much. Learning: her teachers have broaden her knowledge on so many things from counting, problem solving, expressing herself, learning the letters in the alphabet and not just by singing them. She's learning how to tell the difference between lower case and upper case letters. Learning about her body parts and how they function. To even diving into fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Going over the roles people play in our community was another. There's much more but that's all I can think of. Events: the events they have are great and brings a huge smile to the little one's faces which just warms our heart. Child updates: I enjoy receiving daily updates and pictures of what my child is doing in preK as well! Another main reason I chose COA Security system: what COA has in place is great and is another main reason why I chose COA. Everyone that we personally have encounters with at COA has been nothing but friendly, kind, sincere, caring, compassionate, and respectful. To name a few of course her teachers Ms Amanda, Ms Angie, then there's Ms Sandra, Ms Daina, Mr Mark, the Chef and the front desk lady (sorry if I spelled anyones name wrong). There's so many others too I just unfortunately don't know everyone's names. I love how COA promotes a supportive learning environment, academics, social, emotional, physical fitness, and health development. I believe their motto is "Mind and Body Matters." Which you can see throughout their curriculum. My daughter loves going to school. I know she feels valued, respected, and safe. The kids are great too, she's made so many friends. Never not once heard anything bad about what other kids do to each other or to her. Once my youngest turns 3 I will definitely apply for her to attend preK here at COA too. Thanks COA team for making Olivia's preK journey so far extraordinary. Ps - so sorry for the rant!

The first year we were there it was fine. Ms. Charlene was the best teacher we could ever ask for…read more There were some red flags that we realized but nothing too serious until when Ms. Charlene would call off and there was a sub, all hell broke loose. I watched as she would drag the kids because she was trying to clean. But the second a parent walked in she could somehow pick them up gently? By the time my baby went to toddler B, which had no Ms. Charlene I will add, it got worse. There was a video them reading to the kids and there was a split couple of seconds where a little boy started hitting my daughter. Instead of doing anything the teacher recording chose to cut out my daughter who was getting hit and tackled while the other teacher continued reading like nothing happened. They had more slides that showed my daughter still being hit and they just ignored it. There were a couple instances where my daughter would come home with bumps, like she got hit or somrthing, on her face and when I would ask what happened all of the teachers would say they don't know what happened and they weren't in class at the time. No accountability at ALL!!! Finally for a good year I've been paying almost $300 per day after coverage by CCIS, I voiced my concerns since i was even getting charged when my daughter was absent due to getting sick. After I got approved and it was her last month in Children of America. They called me and my husband saying that they can lower the co pay to $50 and if it was too much we can even lower it to $30. Where was that when I was spending almost a grand per week? Now that I'm leaving you want to help me out? If it wasn't for Ms Charlene trust me, my daughter would be out a long time ago. The teachers for the toddler class has put me on edge, are rude to me, my husband, and my kids who pick up my daughter. They don't watch my kid at all even with me paying a $300 for co pay a day!!! I should've pay more close attention to the red flags a long time ago.

They were in an in home childcare prior & briefly at the YMCA but Kiddie academy is such a blessing in our lives! From the first day to now they rave about all of the fun activities they do there. I receive ample updates and can tell the teachers REALLY care about my girls. Meals are included making it easier on me as a mom as well. This summer they had many guests come in - zoo animals, a magician, theatre shows, kona ice, scientist, art bus and more. My 2 year old has started talking way more and my 3 year old is now able to write her name and starting to sound out words. My dream was always to homeschool but life had different plans - however I can not stress enough how happy I am that I know they are loved and learning everyday here. Additionally, I love the fact that they go outside often as in previous childcare locations this was so limited. I have toured many of the childcares in the area and I just want to say that this one is truly a gem and I would highly recommend to anyone. The kids here seem happy every time I come in - not just mine but almost all. Daycare is expensive no matter where you send kids but with lunch included this is still cheaper than many neighboring. I have so much good to say and my only complaint- which is not really a complaint- would be the hope to meet other parents more often as my kids go on and on about their friends at school and I wish I could arrange playdates for them at some point.

Although, what is wrong with this school is the Owners and Management; their lack of communication skills are limited to children only, when it comes to speaking with Adult Parents - they belittle parents like they are are the children, and when confronted with how discontent I was becoming while getting yelled at by the owner Kate over the phone - she threaten me with calling the Police, and to use Video & Audio recording against me....when I did and said nothing wrong. After accepting her threat to call the police, she receded her words.....proceeded to contact to the police herself first, and told them that I am no longer allowed on the property anymore to pick up or drop off my daughter. We engaged this establishment when we wanted to finally send our 2 year old to day care for the first time. Everything seemed so wonderful. Had to take a virtual tour because of the times and were able to meet the teacher ahead of time. Everything was great, however, looks were very deceiving. We dropped our child off for her first day. We knew it was going to be difficult for her because it was the first time away from the ones she knows and loves. We expected to see that. Here were the problems. Upon first day we were not given all the information and signup information for the apps they use and they belittled us like we should have known how to use them ahead of time. My daughter cried and was upset for a little over an hour. Again, to be expected. She was never happy or settled the whole morning. They provide a camera to check in on your child which is awesome to see them. But then you get to see what is going on as well. We never saw a teacher or administrator help our child become acclimated. Typically someone would get on the child's level so they could look eye to eye. What happened was she sat in a chair by herself all morning. The one time a teacher went over to her she handed her the picture book we put together for her to see her loved ones. Did the teacher open it and engage. No! The placed the book down in front of her and walked away. Again we can see this all through their camera system. We saw the blonde haired teacher sitting on a table not even in a chair next to our daughter to help out. Even saw her on her phone instead of tending to the children. They only had 6 kids including our daughter that day so it is not like they were overwhelmed. We get they cannot spend the whole time with her but they should be able to assist her instead of leaving her sit by herself for hours. But wait, it gets better. It took them until after 12 pm to change our child's diaper for the first time. It even says so in the report they sent us at the end of the day. It took them over 4 hours for them to check her diaper! We watched as they provided her lunch and they didn't try to help her eat they just kind of left it there. At the end of the day they sent us a report advising that our kid engaged in all of these types of activities throughout the day and she napped well from 1-3pm. Hmmmm, we picked our child up at 1230 and we could see her sitting in the chair or standing by the door all morning. Please advise how she engaged? My wife engaged the owner on the second day and he wanted nothing to do with her and told her would call her to discuss her concerns instead of trying to address them. Never apologized for the horrible experience or any sentiments. The director, which we spoke to over the phone multiple times, was there at drop off as well. She saw my wife when she got out of the car and ran inside to afraid to confront us to discuss the prior days activities. Long story short, do no send your children here. They do not value you and they consider you just a number. The owner does not want to accept any accountability. The transition should have been smoother than it was. I have spoken to multiple individuals who have or do work in field and this is completely unacceptable on all fronts.

Once one of the teachers was removed, my son began to act out. We noticed when given a snack, my son had less problems. Every time he was sent home, they hadn't given him a snack. After two incidents in a row, instead of attempting to address any concerns, they dismissed my son removing him from friends he made and creating a great deal of trauma. The owner, Sean, was dismissive, rude, unhelpful and didn't care that this is a four year old child whose life was affected negatively. He has no business representing himself as a day care owner and should stick with declaring himself a profit monger.

We had our daughter at the Goddard School in Plymouth Meeting since 2019 and our experience there…read morerecently swung from overall satisfaction to abrupt discontent where we ended up looking forward to her last day there. A few months ago we couldn't imagine saying something like that, but we quickly changed our minds after an inexcusable and unexpected back and forth with the co-owners. First we will say, the teachers at Goddard have been great. Although we haven't been able to meet any of them for the past 2 years due to the pandemic, my daughter has had nothing but good things to say about her teachers and she has learned a lot from them. We've come to learn that this school may be a perfect fit for a family who will quietly fall in line and not question policies set in place by the co-owners. I think this is why we didn't see their apparent true colors for all these years, we didn't ever question anything. The issue started after the CDC dropped the mandatory masking recommendation for children. They required the kids wear their masks inside and outside (even in the dead of summer). We asked a few simple questions about when they plan to go mask-optional, and were immediately shut down with vague statements like "... we decided that we were going to continue to require masks through the end of the winter virus season" and that "we trust that you respect our right to make our own policies". This is when we started to see that policy making at Goddard can be made up with no actual facts communicated to back it up and with no known parent input whatsoever. Not only were our questions immediately shut down, we felt shamed as though we were the only parents with any questions, which we know is not true. Coincidentally, the same day we asked about the masking policy, the school's Instagram page was populated with "parent emails" thanking them for continuing to require masking. Our emails back and forth continued as we tried to seek any information about what criteria needed to be met in order for the children to be mask-optional, as every other daycare/school/county had already been made mask-optional. We were told by the co-owners that we were being "insulting", that we must have "covid fatigue", they were not going to be answering any of our questions and that "there are other schools that (we) might feel more comfortable" sending our daughter to. Can you imagine? After 3 years at the school, being told we should look elsewhere because we questioned a policy for the first time? Parents trying to get details regarding a policy that effects their child every single day and we are told we are insulting and that they are not going to answer our questions simply because they didn't actually have the answers? Aside from their inability to provide information regarding their policies, the shocking disrespect we received for questioning them is ultimately the reason we decided to unenroll our daughter early. We just felt it was important to relay our experience for those considering enrolling their children.
