The Schängelbrunnen is not just a fountain -- it is a symbol of the character of Koblenz: playful,…read morewitty, and full of local charm. During walking tours of Koblenz's Old Town, this is a must see spot because of its central location. Hint: Stand at a slight distance if you don't want to get splashed by the water jet! (It happens at irregular intervals.) Visit when the light is soft, perhaps late afternoon, so you can capture the surrounding historic architecture along with the fountain. Nearby you'll find plenty of cafés and historic buildings: it's comfortable to linger in the area. Fun and enjoyable area.

Der Brunnen ist durch ein schmales Eingangstor auf nördlicher Seite zugänglich und zieht viele Touristen an (nicht weniger als drei Reisegruppen aus den USA bei meinem Besuch), denn er ist eine schöne "Photo Opportunity". Mehr aber auch nicht.

This is the only hilltop castle on the Middle Rhine not to have been destroyed. It has beautiful views of the Rhine River looking down. When walking up to the castle from the parking lot, there's a stairs path or uphill incline- definitely moderate walking with the uphill and stone paths so bring proper comfortable shoes to walk around in.
