The best burger in Dortmund. Period. I've had my share of burgers in my life and live in the country of burgers ins NYC - Hexenkessel is right up there. Great taste, friendly staff, 4 friends all agreed in the hall of fame for burgers for all of us. The only minor annoyance - you'll smell like burger after you've been there. Their ventilation system isn't great and they make the food in front of you so it gets smoky... Not a big bother though. read more

This place is friendly, the menu is amazing, Currywurst is highly recommendable, and they serve DBB craft beer. On a nice day you can sit outside and look at a small park, and yet the U-Bahn is a block away. Supercup Sunday was the first time I've ever eaten in Dortmund rather than go straight to the ground, and despite not being naturally predisposed to liking anything there I really think I might have to go back, just because it was that good. read more

Those times call for Food Brother. It's cash only, and has some patio tables. The burgers are large, and have the perfect ratio of meat, bun, cheese, etc. They also have some special curry flavored sauce that's just perfect. It's a small kitchen so it takes a minute for the food to come out, but no one seemed to mind. Lots of locals here, and we didn't feel out of place. My coworkers and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and a small taste of home. Seriously good eats.

Toller Laden! Die Schnitzel kann man wirklich empfehlen und die Burger sind schön saftig und lecker. Die Auswahl ist gut, es wird alles frisch zubereitet und man kann dem Koch dabei zuzusehen. Top! read more
