What a find! Our reservation at another location fell through, and some helpful locals suggested that we check out Heurigenschenke Sattler, and we are so glad that we did. It is a working farm, where they grow grapes and graze some cattle, and sits on a ridge with a view of the valley below. The rooms are very simple but clean & comfortable, the included breakfast is a very generous meat & cheese platter, and the tree-covered patio outside the bar is a lovely place to sit & enjoy a meal. Erika speaks excellent English and is a gracious hostess. 15-minute drive into downtown Graz, or take the bus from the stop at the bottom of the driveway. We found Sattler by accident but would happily go back again! read more

Geführt wird ein Buschenschank. Am Stadtrand von Graz direkt im Grünen befindet sich auf einer Anhöhe unser Buschenschank. Ein großzügig angelegter Kinderspielplatz sorgt auch bei unseren kleinen Gästen für besondere Zufriedenheit. Die Übersicht über das Stiftingtal bis zur Koralm und in das Schöckelgebiet lädt zum Wandern oder Rad fahren ein. Jung und Alt trifft sich beinahe das ganze Jahr über, um unter den schattigen Weinreben Energie zu tanken oder eine Feier zu veranstalten. Der ungefähr 1,5 ha große Weingarten befindet sich direkt am Anwesen. Rheinriesling, Weißburgunder und Zweigelt werden bei uns gekeltert. Das trocken gehaltene Weinangebot stellt eine Ergänzung zu unserem vielfältigen Speisenangebot dar. Großer Beliebtheit erfreut sich nicht nur der vergorene Apfelmost, sondern auch Apfel- und Traubensaft. Auch diese Produkte werden liebevoll in Eigenproduktion hergestellt.
