The worse possible place to place ur loved one...My husband was there for 3 months, I came…read moreeveryday, thank God, I hate to think what would have happened to him had I not. The 1st day they put him in a room with a raging mentally ill lunatic who threatened the nurses if they put him there, he threw items and cursed, I demanded he/my husband be moved, he was. A month later husbands bed broke, with him in it, his back was injured (he had had back surgery 6 months earlier) because this was late Fri. he had to lay on that broken bed on the floor now until Mon. (engineer staff off until Mon.) This happened twice, and same thing , on the broken bed on the floor. All but 1 nurse/and waiting staff was nice enough but all are over their heads in a job that should have more people caring for these VERY ill Patients. They are NOT trained nor professionally equipped to care for nor "handle" the number of mentally ill patients that this facility takes in. I am not sure they are even licensed to admit these (for the most part) out of control patients who stroll the halls, curse and scream day and might. My husband was given pain med's after his surgery but the dumbest doctors I have seen in my entire life, never stopped ordering these powerful until weeks later "I" put a stop to it (after checking with my husband to see if he were still really on that level of pain) for fear that he would be addicted. I could not believe that no one stopped to see if these strong drugs were still needed. The Doctors do "walk by's" into the over drugged and sleeping patients rooms so that they do not actually have to talk to them and do any " doctoring", this is done tjere so that these inferior Doctors can still collect a paycheck from our Insurance company. I asked many times what time the doctor would be coming so that I could speak with them but no time is giving because they do not want to TALK, they only want to SAY THEY SAW the patient.. if u are looking for a clean, efficient, wellxrun and caring facility to place ur loved one, this is NOT IT!!!

By far the worst nursing home ever !!! Do not bring your family members here. They take forever to…read moresend patients to the hospital and by the time they are sent they are critical and may not make it back home! Some of the nurses are very caring, but the problem lies within management. Leila is a horrible leader and Will is not so Sharp! Runnnnnnnnnn far away !

Chose this place because it is close to home & I can could visit mom e very day. She spent 6…read moreweeks. Nice remodel on the lobby. Was on the summer so apparently the AC needed work because it went out. They did bring in swamp coolers which helped. However they discharged her with a toenail fungus. CNA kept mom in diapers for their convenience since there are so few of them & one told me she hated working there & was looking for a different line of work. The nurses are outstanding as are the physical therapists. And mom liked the post money bingo. CNA's look and act overworked.

Apple Valley Post Acute Center is a above the standards I was expecting based on the other reviews…read more My Mom is in her final stages of COPD, and was transferred out of desert valley hospital to here. She had refused a skilled nursing facility for the past 4 hospital visits. I cannot express the frustration with her in general. Coming here for her was a big step. The center is clean, girls are attentive if you ask for things, and there are three square meals served. My Mom enjoys the food, but I wouldn't call it gourmet. So far my she's been here two nights and they do vitals/breathing treatments. She hasn't seen a PT person to help with strengthening yet (I think he stopped in when she was in the restroom and didn't return) and the doctor has 72 hours to follow up from discharge of the hospital. Yes her neighbor has a loud TV, it bothers my Mom. Yes, she doesn't think to ask for things she needs, yes you have to be proactive as a "relative". Half these people here have hearing issues. What else would you expect? I know my grandparents TV is loud AF. This isn't the ritz, and it's above average for what I was expecting. For visitors you can stop by Target and the million other stores near by to get your needs. I got my Mom some over the eat head phones to watch her movies while the neighbor blares her TV.
