Under whelmed with this restaurant. Fabulous location but food undercooked and absolutely no love on the plate. Very disappointing.

A review from a friend of mine of this venue : "Wow I'm in a bit of shock that some people can be so rude stupid and discriminatory. I went to the hervey bay hotel with my family for a 2 for 1 Tuesday night dinner meal. We get to the counter and my mum orders her meal and my sons main meal no problem. I ordered my $20 main meal and my daughters kids meal, they inform me that kids meals are not included in the deal and I laughed thinking she was kidding but then I seen she was clearly not. So I said you would prefer to give away another 20 meal than a 6 dollar meal she said yes kids meals are not included. I was in a bit of shock and walked away. I went back as I thought there must be some mistake. I asked can I speak to the manager as I thought this Is The dumbest thing I've ever heard. How wasteful. The manager said the same thing that it doesn't include kids meals and was very rude by saying I can't believe you would complain about the 2 for 1 deal very loudly . I told her that my daughter wouldn't eat a full adults meal she would only eat the chips off a main meal or a tiny portion of the main meal. She said that our policy. I said OK and proceeded to take picture of the food and licence number of the restaurant as no where on the menu or specials board did it say this. I thought I would write a letter off tomorrow and send it both to her and licensing board. I felt very embarrassed as how she was speaking to me in front of everyone and my family. I then went to order a full meal for us both so as not to rock the boat anymore and so my family could get their meals and she asked me and my daughter to leave. I said to my mum and son to stay as they had already paid for there meals. What's worse when my my mum got her meal which was the pesto chicken spaghetti there was not 1 bit of chicken in it. Went down for dinner as I have weekly for the past 5_6 weeks now. Usually in a group of 4_8 people and have had all kinds of issues with the service but last night takes the cake. Noticed something floating in my beer glass and so stopped drinking it and got another one. In conversation a few of us all drinking beer also noticed the same in there glasses. So we sent them back and waited,and eventually we went up to ask about our fresh drinks 20 mins later and were told sorry bad luck they have been washed now and the boss didnt see them. Clean glasses is the basics. Get that right at least. Makes me wonder about the cutlery, plates and all food prep procedures there. If they cant get a glass clean. This is one of the most dissapointing resturants i have ever been to. The service is horrible, the food is stale and undercooked. The waitors are so impolite, The tables and chairs are sticky tables havent been cleaned and rubbish fkying everywhere read more
