rented the car for 7 days and got charged extra because I picked it up a day late even though I payed for it then no one could help with charges on the bill. Car had a bad vibration for the whole trip called to see if I could exchange it and they said I would have to return it to one 2hrs away from the one I was calling because it was a different branch or pay a fee and get reimburse later. when you call they only answer if you want to rent a car otherwise no one can help with any questions about bill. read more

I was given a Kia Forte (2017/White) - the car had a jumpy acceleration going from 50 mph to 70-75 mph on expressways. I called Roadside and asked for the car to be swapped out at MBS - no problem. MBS had one car left - when I got in the car I found out that part of the interior between the driver's side door and the windshield was starting to fall off. I called MBS to see what they could to accommodate my loyalty - I'm currently Five Star and very close to President's Circle. The representative I spoke had a VERY bad attitude and didn't understand that giving me a rental that's starting to come apart is unacceptable. He told me that he's been "fighting" for a better fleet for a year - which I do not believe. I tried calling roadside to see if they could do me one better- the rep was understanding but could not find me a replacement. I did also tweet this photo to the Hertz twitter page but no one there is actually helping me but instead I'm being asked questions dozens of time and have provided answers to (again....UNPROFESSIONAL!!) and they aren't giving me a response to the following question: "How is Hertz going to retain my loyalty after this incident??" "Is this the service you provide you loyal members?" "Why would this type of car be provided to ANY customer?" "Why would this car even be allowed on the road??" I'll definitely be taking my rental car business elsewhere when traveling to Saginaw, MI....very disappointing for a customer who has been VERY loyal! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We've been loyal hertz customers for years. Today after 9 hours of traveling we arrive to Hertz to see this hand written sign. We have had reservations for this vehicle for months. No heads up or notification of this closure. Corporate Hertz has no clue why they're closed and advised we travel (I guess Uber?) 70 miles to the nearest Hertz! This is unacceptable and will be our very last time as a customer of Hertz. read more

Hertz at MBS is pretty mediocre. They don't have Hertz Gold, although you can get in and out fairly quickly because there are no lines and the cars are right outside the tiny terminal. The staff is fairly brusque and really tries to upsell you on the insurance. The car itself was clean but the license plate was almost bent in half. I spent a couple days worrying that I was going to get pulled over because I had out of state plates that looked like they had been folded by the Hulk. I'd recommend trying one of the other brands over Hertz if you are renting at MBS. read more

THE WORST COUNTER SERVICE. I often wonder if Hertz corporate knows how poorly this Hertz location at MBS is run. These agents could CARE LESS about their customers. FILTHY CARS. This is my third rental at this location. I am 100% certain these cars are returned and immediately re-rented exactly the way they were returned. I'm not surprised, based on how the counter is run. Each car I've rented here has been filthy with sticky satins on the Neverlost console and steering wheel. I've rented U-HAUL trucks that were much cleaner than the Hertz vehicles here. HERTZ GOLD? Forget it. Don't expect to save any time here. The signs on the wall is just for show apparently. I think I'll try Avis next time. read more

Worst service ever. Returned gas with a full tank, they charged us for gas at $9.99 a gallon!! Had to jump through a bunch of hoops to prove we had filled up tank. Didn't hear back from them. Called 4 days later and had to jump through more hoops and they said "oh yeah, you got the refund" Would have been nice if someone would have let us know. bad bad bad. Won't go back read more

As a loyal Hertz member, I have been disappointed multiple times with the service at the MBS airport. Not only once, but twice now have they run out of cars and had to turn away 10-15 customers with confirmed reservations. The first time, I was turned away because my status was not high enough, even though I had a confirmed reservation. The desk agent was less than helpful, suggesting I try another company (all of which were also sold out). He offered no suggestions or compensation. I then went to Hertz corporate, who said they would compensate me with bonus points. This was 3 months ago, and I never received the points. I returned to MBS this week, and rented with Hertz again, and the same thing happened. Thankfully, they determined my Five Star status to be high enough, and told me they had a car for me (while about 10 others with reservations were turned away). However, I had to wait an hour to be taken to the reserve lot, and was given a horrible, extremely outdated car. The service is continually disappointing (I will remain loyal to other Hertz locations) but I would highly recommend avoiding the MBS location. read more

If i could I would give them 0 stars...I rented a 1 way and returned my car on time, full of gas, and to the location I was supposed to and thought all was well. Today I get a call from my bank saying I have all these bounced checks. I quickly check and find that Hertz charged my card over 750.00!!!! The entire rental was like 150.00 max!! I called to find out what the heck happened and was told I returned it to the wrong location and I returned it late...NONE of which are true. This is the 2nd time this company has ripped me off. A previous time I used Hertz and returned the car early..they tried to double charge me saying you aren't allowed to return early or you get fined. What a joke!! I said show me in the contract it states this, which they couldn't, and after quite a long time of arguing with them and 2 different managers I finally got them to return my money. We shall see what happen this time as I was told they have to investigate it. DO NOT EVER RENT FROM HERTZ!!!!! read more
