This place was super fun! The girl that was in charge of dressing us and taking our pictures was extremely helpful and professional. She helped us get the correct sizing, accessories and helped us pose perfectly for our pictures. A second party in our group wasn't happy with their first round and she was more than willing to help them take new pictures. The place itself had great props and options to choose from and I didn't think it was overpriced for what you were getting. They allow 1 picture to come with the experience or you can buy extra prints for $15 each or the entire digital set if you want. Would absolutely return with a different group! read more

This "old time photo" studio is tucked into a building which houses many local businesses, so the sign isn't out on the street, but it is well worth seeking out. It is in the Heritage Walk Mall, just off St. George's Row next to a Pirate Shop. After we were denied service at the place out on St. George Row proper, we came here as a second option and now I want everyone to know how much better this place was both in service and in pricing. We had a group of 9 family members who wanted to commemorate our fantastic weekend in St. Augustine with a silly old-time-photo. I'm glad the first place couldn't handle our business, the lady who worked here (I can't remember her name, SO sorry!) said she has been doing this sort of thing for over 10 years. She was completely patient with our indecision on costumes and did a fantastic job posing us and creating a memorable family photo that will make us smile for years to come. Just off the "beaten path" of St George Street is this lovely establishment. The owner is a charming, wonderful person who made our experience a memorable one! She picked out the perfect costumes for our figures and spent time making sure we were "tied in" properly. She took her time choosing our accessories and placing them "just so". We had so much fun working with her. After getting ready, the picture taking process flew by. A tip for those who go - please listen to her instructions on posing etc. she has over 30 years of experience and she truly does know what poses are best! We were delighted with our pictures and she included some photoshop touch ups. We had multiple poses to chose from. Once we chose our favorite pose we were able to pick the background. She was VERY patient with us and our end result is fabulous. The whole experience was so much fun. We're already making plans to do it again (with a different theme) the next time I visit! Myself and three girlfriends decided to take these old time photos. The experience wasn't all that great. The two girls working there do not have the best customer service skills. We went in and was told there would be an hour wait. That was fine, we paid, gave our numbers and went to shop a little. We get back 45 mins later because we thought we would look at the outfits before our turn. Well we are informed that it will be another 45 mins before they can get to us. I tell the girl there that it had already been 45 mins and all she says is "It's an estimated time, that why we take your number. So we can call you when we are ready." Well we already paid so I tell her we will be back in 30 mins. So our session gets done, while we are looking at our pictures there are two other papers with customers wanting their pictures done. The one girl says she needs to call the next group, well the other girl working there says I'll just take the group that's here waiting and the first group that we need to call can wait. Guess we found out why our session was pushed back. Oh almost forgot to mention, the clothes look like they haven't been washed since they 1800's. I know they are supposed to look old, but clean would be great too. read more

Do not waste your money! The clothing is nasty, you do NOT get to pick what you want to wear, you are posed looking deformed or cut-out of picture, it's ridiculous! There were 4 of us; my 2 daughter's, my husband and myself...the girl working grabbed dresses, fishnet hose, and shorts and shoved the 3 of us girls in dressing rooms. She told us what to do and then started on my husband...while she was instructing us, my husband went to try on a hat and she actually YELLED at him to NOT touch anything!!!!! I asked her why he couldn't try different hats and she just started laughing and said oh I was just seeing if he was paying attention...WOW Whatever! She started posing us and she asked me to sit, which I didn't mind doing. My daughter's were up on the bar...she passes out guns as props, then she gives my teenagers beer and whiskey bottles...okay okay, I know some may say "it's just a picture", however, I'm old school...NOT gonna happen! So, I politely ask if they can have something else. She snatches the bottles from them and hands them guns and looks at me with this sarcastic look and says, "is that better"? It took everything I had in my not to snatch her pony-tail right off her head. All I could say was, "you just better thank you lucky stars the one I'm holding isn't loaded"! This is probably why we ended up having to take our picture THREE different times, because the first time only 1/2 of me was in it. The second time I was up on the bar and the way she had me sit my legs looked like they were broken and the third time I just told her to print them and let us go! I'm telling you, there are other places in the area...some are the same price, other's are a little more expensive, but it would be worth it to go elsewhere! This place is the WORST!!!!! read more

I was disappointed by the lack of effort and attention given by the young female working this business. She gave us the impression we were bothering her. She did not seem to be interested in helping us. She was too involved in checking her cash register receipts. Prices seemed very high. We found another old time photo shop at the other end of St George Street. We had a great experience there. FYI much cheaper prices and can buy a CD of all pictures for $20. read more
