NEVER EVER trust your antiques to Wayne of Ebony and Ivory. My grandfather's antique desk was…read moretaken there by my insurance company bc it was damaged in a flood. (I didn't choose this guy AT ALL.) Wayne kept it for over 3 months, saying he had not been paid.....which he had. After much work and diligence, I finally got him to admit he had been paid to fix, but not to deliver.....another lie. So, this past Sunday, (Sunday, Oct 18, 2026) he agreed to meet me, my godson, and his father (who drove in from Ville Platt) to meet us there for us to pick up even though he had been paid $75 to deliver by my insurance. When he finally arrived 40 minutes after he told us he would not wait an extra minute for us if we weren't there at exactly 1:00, he rolled in. He had NOT even fixed my desk after having it for a full 3 months. He got some glue, and began to sloppily apply. Then he used a NAIL GUN on a 106-year-old desk and went to work. He had already slammed the nail gun down on the top of the desk 3x by now. (This is the same desk he said he would completely restore for a mere $4000.) He told me he did not care about this desk and it didn't even belong to me, but to the moving company. I was in tears. Please see pics and DM me for more info, including full recordings of our interactions. This has been a nightmare experience for me and my family. This beautiful desk was hand carved by my grandfather 106 years ago. Nor do I trust the 8 reviews he's gotten on this site for a business that's been operating for almost 30 years.

I've dealt with funeral directors with a more cheerful disposition than these folks. The…read morenegativity is astounding, considering it's a watch repair place, that even a junk yard owner would have found rude. I was referred to this business by Jared's. I asked about a watch band replacement on my Tissot. They looked at me like I was quite insane for asking such a absurd question. Of course they do not carry, nor will they order a watch band for that watch brand. Contact the mft.! Like she took a certain satisfaction informing me of this. I then asked if they carried Seiko watches, specifically the Speedtimer model. Ha, now she is certain I am insane. WE DON"T CARRY THAT MODEL! And I suppose the guy behind the counter is the owner. He has he arms crossed the whole time with a smirk on his face. I said thank you for your time and got nothing back in reply. So back to the internet for me on watch purchases.

Working with Mr. Hannon has been a delightful experience. My fiancee custom designed my ring with…read moreMr. Hannon, and it is EXACTLY what I wanted: a salt and pepper diamond-- not too dark, but not too light-- cut in a hexagon shape in a gold band. With the uniqueness of the diamond I wanted, my fiancee met with Mr. Hannon 9 different times to look at different diamonds. Mr. Hannon took the time to scope out and order several diamonds for my fiancee to look at each meeting. He continued to hone in with each visit what my fiancee wanted out of the diamond, and he never complained or got frustrated by how much work was asked of him because he values sentimentality. Mr. Hannon is a man who goes above and beyond for engagement rings because he KNOWS how important they are. To him, it's not just a piece of jewelry, it's a symbol of love and devotion. He recognizes each ring is like each love story, unique and deserving of time, effort, and respect. He worked SO hard to make sure this ring is everything I wanted and more, and I am so grateful he, and my fiancee, gave me such a unique yet simple piece of jewelry that I can wear and cherish every day. We went back to Mr. Hannon for our wedding bands, and he spent the time explaining small intricacies of bands that we didn't even think of (gold type, curved edge versus sharp edge, band thickness and depth, shiny or textured, etc.). He guided us through all of our decisions, letting us know the pros and cons of each option presented, but never trying to sway us a certain way. He sold us the wedding bands at market price, and provided insurance and free cleanings. He engraves in house with several font options. Overall, he made our engagement and wedding band shopping experiences exciting, cultivating a kind and caring environment, never pushing us towards more expensive options, and putting hours in to accommodate our wishes within our budget. Thank you Mr. Hannon for all of your hard work, and I wish I could give you more than 5 stars!
