When it comes to food I'm of the opinion you are what you eat. The same can be said for drugs. I don't mean the dodgy ones they'll get you into trouble with the rozzers, I mean simple every day drugs like a pain killer or even vitamin supplements. I'd rather get a cure from it's source like eating 5-a-day for example. The Chinese believe this too which is why I like to visit Herbs of China. Here they claim to have a cure for any ailment by using the 3000 year-old Chinese method of herbs in teas and potions. It may sound mumbo jumbo but consider this: profit making companies produce the drugs using a variety of chemicals mixed with extract of various plants. Plants are a natural product of the earth and when consumed with out being chemically enhanced surely that's got to be better for you. Which is why I pop along to Herbs of China every week to get my dose of Ginseng. Helpful and very interesting advice is offered for whatever your problem and you don't have to wait in a germ riddled waiting room like at my doctor's. read more

Lucy (Yu) Zhao was born in Anshan in the Lioaning province of Northern China and is one of four children. She graduated from Liaoning Medical University (LMU) as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine 1983 and is actually the third generation of Doctor of Chinese Medicine in her family, so you could say it's in the blood. After that she graduated she worked in Anshan General hospital as a doctor for the next 15 years. Her extended family still live in Anshan and Lucy travels back to see them as often as her career allows. She has a mother of 80 and three brothers who all still line in Aoshan. In 2003 as things were somewhat unsettled in China, Lucy decided to bring her unusual skills to the west and subsequently moved to Birmingham where she still lives with her won family. Initially when she arrived she worked in Coventry for the first three years as a TCM Doctor before starting her own practice in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield. Hypnotherapy Counselling The building is new, fresh and comfortable. When you ring the bell your therapist will come to meet you. As you enter the front door you are faced with a very small waiting area to your right and stairs going straight up infront of you to the counselling rooms. If you are less able bodied this could pose a problem as the stairs are narrow and steep. The counselling room is compact but well decorated as this is a new build. The walls are thin. 30 minutes into my Hypnotherapy session it sounded like a hurd of elephants running up the stairs. It was a busy day, glad to say I didnt have that problem at my 3rd session. If you are using public transport get off on the High St. Car drivers will find a place on the road.
