I actually wish I had happened upon this little shop earlier in my trip... after a week of hard…read morebrain work and early mornings, a little organic whatnot love would have done wonders. But i've definitely bookmarked it as a go-to next time i'm in the city and in need of a brain boost. This charming little shop is pretty unassuming from the outside. Besides the bright yellow sign and the cheerful claim that they speak english (not going to lie, big reason I ventured in...), this place would be pretty darn easy to walk by. Which would be a shame, because inside is a holistic food mecca. The owner is lovely and speaks impeccable english, the shop is charming, well laid out and beautiful to poke around. They carry all manner of organic, health & holistic whatnots - from Manuka honey to small batch almond milk - this place is positively packed with "good for you" stuff. They pay special attention to dietary restrictions as well and are quick with a suggestion for gluten free, dairy free or any and all of the above. Though I am neither, it's become habit for me to ask - Yelpers have to look out for one another. All in all, if I lived in the area (or the city for that matter...), I'd definitely poke in here for hard to find items. And if you're visiting the area, pop through and grab some quick breakfast essentials for your hotel room (and a nice bottle of vino while you're at it, because like every spot in Madrid, they sell that too!).

My fiancé picked up a bottle of the "Too Hot" (orange, lemon, lime, curcuma, H2O alkaline, cayenne) pressed juice and I got a bottle of the "Rise and Shine" (grapefruit, apple, carrot) pressed juice. Both juices were both delicious and unique. Definitely unlike the mixtures I've had in California. The interior of Fit Food was super cute, cozy, and quaint. I think they also sell acai bowls and the such here. If you have the money to splurge and want something refreshing, light, and healthy to kick off your day or after a work out, I'd definitely recommend Fit Food.

The teacher was friendly and knowledgeable, offered posture corrections where helpful, and set an appropriate pace. It wasn't overcrowded, the atmosphere was good, plus first-time students get a discount and may borrow mats. The only slight downside was that the studio itself was in need of a new lick of paint, but that didn't detract from an overall great experience. i believe the same teacher also runs classes in the park, also through meet up, which I will certainly try. As for the shop, I browsed briefly and didn't purchase. Looks like it will fulfill all of your post-yoga tofu-munching incense-lighting hippy needs, plus it sells yoga mats.
