This review is based on the restaurant.
It was my first visit to Erythrai and I absolutely fell in love with this restaurant. This is where I had my first Turkish Coffee reading. I told myself that if it does come true I will come back to the restaurant. The drive here is a little far from the city, Cesme. The location is absolutely gorgeous because you can see the Aegan Sea from the dining area. I heard it was a family owned. The restaurant is right part of the boutique and I had heard many great things about this town from my Turkish friend's parents.
We arrived on a Saturday evening with no reservations and they don't take one anyways. We got lucky and seated right away by a young girl in her teen. Inside is very small with maybe seven tables and one t.v. There was a table filled with local family and one table with four tourists. How I know they were tourists because they spoke English and one mentioned about the states. I was surprised to see tourists because this place is definitely a hidden gem. I came with my Turkish friends from Izmir and they usually come to Cesme for the Holidays.
The restaurant is known for their artichokes and fish. We ordered them and they are the most delicious meal I ever had in my life. We also had eggplants, my favorite and octopus. They way they seasoned the octopus was DELICIOUS! Not lying. The meat was perfect that it melted in my tongue. The fish was great too. I almost forgot to mention about their salad. It was the best salad I ever had. I am not sure what they put in there but it was very good. I tried to ask my Turkish friend to call the place up for the ingredients and she still hasn't done it yet. Boo. Our waiter was a young man and he was very polite. He cut the fish for us and was very nice the whole time. We ordered a desert that was so good I thought I was in heaven. It was a melted peanut butter something. Sorry I forgot the name but I posted up a picture. You have to pass their home kitchen to use the bathroom. I thought it was cute to see the family working in their own kitchen. It was small. The bathroom is tiny but clean.
I only saw three parking spots, there might be more somewhere else you might have to call and check. I highly recommend this place and I am definitely coming back to Turkey!
