A small boutique hotel in a 200 year old building. It is located in between the city of Bergama and and ancient site of Pergamum. It is located directly under the hill where Pergamum sits overseeing the city of Bergama below. You can feel the cultural and military significance of the site even at the base of the hill where the hotel is. The owners, a retired couple, where incredibly hospitable. They went out of the way to make my sister and I feel welcome. It was my sisters birthday and they gave us some birthday baklava and red wine to celebrate. The night we arrived the owner invited us to the town of Dikili on the coast and invited us to accompany them. We went and had a marvelous time eating fresh sea food on the water and chatting with the owners and their children who were visiting from abroad. Rarely in my life have I experienced such hospitality and kindness. I felt like a member of the family. I will never forget this family and this wonderful hotel. read more
