Dr. Heppe, or as I have nicknamed him, Dr. Happy, is truly a world class plastic surgeon. I had originally booked with a different plastic surgeon and after have a bad gut feeling, I did some research and found unfavorable feedback on said dr. Still wanting the surgery, I researched all the plastic surgeons within the MD/VA area and felt drawn to Heppe's credentials as well as client reviews. Meeting him in person, I instantly felt at ease and knew he was the Dr. I wanted to perform my mommy makeover. I appreciated his completely platonic analysis of my body, focusing on medical aspects, while also sharing his recommendations and expectations. Dr. Heppe is a talented and professional plastic surgeon. I've had four children, two of them being twins. My stomach muscle was torn and know matter what I tried, I always looked three months pregnant. There was no exercise I could do that would fix it. I researched muscle repairs and tummy tucks for almost two years before I got up the nerve to contact the office. I finally went in for the consult and Dr. Heppe was professional and put all my fears at ease. On the morning of the surgery, I was petrified. Dr. Heppe's staff was kind and understanding. I have used Dr. Heppe at Plastic Surgery Services of Fredericksburg for multiple procedures throughout the years, most recent being a tummy tuck. I am very pleased with the results and am still amazed how firm and unblemished my tummy is. When I told my daughter I was having a tummy tuck, she said "I hope he knows what a belly button looks like." Let me assure you, Dr. Heppe knows what a belly button looks like and has the skills to make a nice one. I vacationed in Hawaii and Costa Rica this past year and my belly button was in full view, front and center. My surgical incision was still slightly noticeable (very light) but was well hidden by my bikini bottoms (and no the bottoms weren't huge). When my husband saw my tummy tuck results, he said "damn he did a good job." Not bad for being 59 years old. I had decades of hating my chest and going through many bras looking for one that will lift and shape what I had. I had very saggy breasts with no meat and opted for the lift and implants. I would never have believed this result was possible. I can wear clothes and swimsuits without embarrassment. The pain after surgery was purely the muscles stretching and accepting the implants and I did not need pain meds after two days. The scars are small and clean lines that are still fading. I had a procedure called smart lipo. After years of trying, I could not get rid of the excess fat on my stomach after having a baby. The staff was very pleasant, informative, and made me very comfortable. I have been seeing Dr. Heppe for years now. I have always had very positive experience with him. He was always honest with me. If he does not think you NEED a procedure, he will let you know. After the smart lipo, I was a little uncomfortable, but I was able to go back to work next day.
