I wanted to bring attention to the Henry County transportation Network. They offer a very good service helping people with disabilities make their doctor's appointment in a safe clean environment. I ride with them weekly and have rarely come across bad service. I can say though there has been some bizarre things that has happened since using their transportation services. My first time riding where Henry County transportation the driver pulled up I came out right away and at that point he told me but I need to hurry the f*** up and made a derogatory comment how about homosexuals which I ignored because I have no other way to make it to my doctor's appointments because I have many chronic care issues and no family and the area to help take me. I did report it which felt like it was more of an inconvenience than anything else. One of the other issues was I had a driver that was extremely rude and expressing clearly hateful views at some point in my 45 mile trip I asked him to please avoid hitting all the potholes I'm swerving in and out of traffic while speeding I never experienced car sickness until that day. I really felt like my safety was in jeopardy. When I got home I reported it and I was called Everything but a liar. I told them I felt that he was going out of his way to hit potholes once you realize that they were hurting my back badly. When I report it to the head manager they mocked me telling me that there is no way that a driver would act such a way to hit potholes on purpose but me being a passenger the only passenger I might add had a clear View and understanding of the driver and his feelings towards me as a passenger. After that I had money Pleasant ride what's some wonderful women drivers and men that were nothing but polite and engaged and healthy conversation. The worst thing that happened with Henry County transportation was yesterday when a pleasant young lady picked me up at Henry County Hospital and took me to the pharmacy on the way home. My meds were supposed to be ready but they were not and she was very patient waiting with me and I was greatly appreciative because I cannot walk long distance or be out in the heat because I was some of the medications I am on and my high blood pressure. While waiting we were at the window and the pharmacist had said the name of my medication that we were waiting on over the intercom which is a anxiety medication from my PTSD generalized anxiety and panic disorder. At that point the driver decided to share that she was on a anxiety medication also and was out of it and needed to find a doctor to provide it for her again. There is small talk she informed me that her husband was a drug dealer out of Toledo but has been away from that life for better after 10 years.. i gave her the name of a doctor that may be able to help her.
Approximately an hour later I get a phone call from a police officer stating that she reported that I offered to give her one of my medications and I was floored and Confused. I explained the whole situation to the officer and he advised me it's best never to discuss meds at all with anyone other than the pharmacy or my doctors I told him I see that now and it baffled me the accusation would have been made and what confusion could have been made from conversation we did have. I called the Henry County transportation to report what had happened and the gentleman that runs the place told me that I have been nothing but problems and that nobody wants to drive for me even now I've had several good relationships with many of the drivers because I ride regularly. And at that point he told me that he believed that I was a liar and he believes his employees. I told him the very least he should drug screen her because I'm not comfortable riding with somebody that takes a controlled substance that causes drowsiness because that is a DUI even if it is prescribed. I told him that she was pleasant and nice and I was so confused about why she would have twisted the conversation she had with me about her ex drug dealer husband and her prescription to nerve medications . So after he wants again told me that I was a problem and a liar I told him I appreciated his time but I thought it was important to inform him that he has a driver that is driving under the influence of prescription medications. And I have a hard time believing that nobody wants to drive for me when I get along so well with at least half a dozen of them and I only had problems with three and that the others were very pleasant and respectful and I was very grateful to get transportation. I guess I'm posting this just to make others aware of the situations they can possibly find them self in especially with a driver on prescription medication employed by Henry County read more
