I recently read about Hemet Donuts in the Press Enterprise insert where they were voted the 2023 Best Doughnut Shop in the Inland Empire.Sadly,I must admit that I somehow missed this hidden gem.Maybe the regulars would like to keep it to themselves.Ha,ha I stopped in just before closing time at 2:00 P.M. on a Thursday afternoon.I didn't expect them to have a wide selection that late in the afternoon.I was pleasantly surprised that I was still able to buy a dozen.Two different types to taste test. I purchased the coconut glazed,maple cake & one chocolate with walnuts. The cashier was helpful and friendly, plus she even threw in a couple extra donuts because I purchased a dozen donuts. The donuts were not oily or dry.Each doughnut was very moist & tasty even hours later! I inquired as to what the popular purchases were, and she offered recommendations such as their blueberry, banana & maple donut with bacon.They offer donuts, muffins, and breakfast croissants plus a variety of beverages. I will stop in earlier before closing next time to try one of their banana donuts.Hemet Donuts is located in the shopping plaza across from the Hemet Car Wash Depot.Take the afternoon to get your car washed, walk over to Destination Smokehouse for some great BBQ and then back to Hemet Donuts for dessert. Tell em Violet sent ya and you can thank me later.

So if you know me, you know that I have a fond appreciation, okay call it a maaaad love affair with Homer's favorite snack, the good ol' donut. From Crullers to Cronuts and everything in-between, there is something simply remarkable about the sweet textural sensation that is the donut. All kinds of soft yet crisp dough crumbling in your mouth with just the slightest squeeze of the jaw....it's really mind blowing. Hemet Donuts brings back that nostalgic feeling of being a kid in a donut store...donut shop...bakery...you get me. Here you'll find the classics like buttermilk bars (old fashioned), apple fritters, glazed raised, long johns (chocolate or maple bars), white cake with sprinkles, the whole nine. However you'll also find gems like the highly recommended peanut and maple covered cinnamon role, the banana donut with walnuts (wayyyy better than it sounds), and more. Yeah don't forget to score a reasonable, ~$1.65, large coffee with a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant for the exceptionally fair $3.50 ( there may have even been ham on this croissant. I devoured my half so quickly I'm lucky to still have fingers to type about it). As I recall, the croissant, a dozen donuts, and a coffee was about $13.50...meaning the dozen donuts was around $8. Thanks to the staff and owners for providing these incredibly delicious pastries at a reasonable cost, all with a smile.

Thank You Hemet Donuts! I was in town for work and needed some breakfast pastries for work, and stopped by based on great Yelp reviews and was so pleasantly greeted by one of the workers. I asked him for a special request of getting my donuts separated bc of COVID and work policies and he was so easy to work with. Even placed them in a box for easy carrying. I'm not sure if this was the owner, but thank you so much for your service. Customer service was A+++ and the donuts and coffee were so good! I will be back here if work brings me back in town. Thank you again. They also take Apple pay!

Wow! That says it all! We ordered a breakfast sandwich, a ham & cheese croissant, a jelly filled and a chocolate old fashioned! Yes, all four items just to see which was best! Amazing! They even thru in 3 donut holes! Everything was incredible! The croissants light, flaky and very tasty. The donut holes melt in your mouth! The jelly filled was very tasty, light, fluffy just the right amount of jelly & perfectly glazed! The chocolate old fashioned, in the photo, tasted as perfect as it looked! You could really taste chocolate! These people truly know their trade & should be proud of it!

My favorite!!! The owners are the kindest people I've ever met. They make delicious daily baked donuts and they have some of the best boba smoothies in town. If you're gonna try any of them I suggest the honeydew or the lychee. Be extra nice to the lady that works the front counter! She is the sweetest person on the planet, and always makes me smile when I come in!! I'll always appreciate the attention to deal, when they take the liberty to actually remember your name and ask about your day, neither of which is disingenuous. Just old school hospitality, and a real feeling of belonging. This is a beautiful place to spend your morning.

A nice place, small and out dated needs door repaired with better material than PVC pipes but the Donuts are good. Don't expect a warm Hello or good Morning but I'm sure there is plenty of room for improvement. I would have loved to give this place a 5 star but I cant. read more

Hemet Donuts is soooo gooood. I always get the caramel boba and ham & cheese croissant, it's always nice supporting a local business- rather than a chain like Starbucks. They offer a variety of donuts and they do not disappoint. One thing that I would like to address is the awesome customer service! I wanted an iced coffee but they did not have it on their menu. I kindly asked if they had any and the lady said only blended (like a smoothie) but she said she'd make me one. That she did! She was able to get me the over ice coffee I was craving. Not from around here but will be returning whenever I'm in the area :) read more

Driving from Texas we stop by this Little family own donut shop. By far one of our favorite spots . Kids love the donuts ,nice and fresh . This is the best donut shop in the area! I'm a donut freak FREAK so I know. I love how fresh and soft the donuts are! The chocolate on the chocolate bars is to die for!!!!! They also have excellent service and they treat you right!!! I have always been treated like they are really happy I'm there! Hands down the best donut place I've ever been to. I've only been here twice but I think it's so awesome that I already have to leave a review. The donuts, ham and cheese croissants and even the coffee are delicious! Everything is so fresh tasting. And the coffee isn't super watered down like it often is at other donut shops. On top of that, the customer service is super friendly. I definitely look forward to any time I'm in the area for work just so I can stop by! read more

I'm so glad we came across this place on our way back to SD from Joshua Tree. Seeing reviews, we knew we had to try the maple bacon. Unfortunately, they were already out in the late AM on a Friday. We chose a regular blueberry donut, a chocolate donut, and a ham and cheese croissant with jalapenos. She even threw in a regular maple donut for free since she knew we wanted the bacon one. Make sure you have cash just in case when you visit. WiFi was down and they were unable to use the credit card swiper. Luckily we had some dollars to spare. The croissant is great, and reminiscent of a bakery in the OC. It was a staple during my undergrad years, and I haven't had it in maybe 4 years, so I was thrilled to find a place that had nearly identical croissants! And these were bigger! Buttery, flaky, light and fluffy goodness. Yum. If I'm ever back in this area travelling for whatever reason, I will for sure remember to stop by this place. read more

Without a doubt the best donuts in the Inland Empire. They do every donut right. I judge donut shops on their French Cruelers and these are near perfection. They are fluffy, airy and tasty. They are one of the hardest traditional donuts to make and they are simply never chewy or over cooked. The family that runs it are extremely sweet and happy people. Lots of unique selections. Their chocolate sauce is good but the real treats are the blue berry donuts, the orange frosted and their mini cinnamon rolls. My son loves their variety of donut holes. They are just simply fantastic. read more

Seriously not enough great things to say about Hemet Donuts. 10 stars!! Steve is so awesome and he remembers you! My boyfriend and I used to visit here all the time, then we stopped coming for over 6 months. We come back and Steve greets us and asks if we want our usual croissant sandwiches! I was shocked he remembered! That alone is enough reason to return. :) BUT, let's talk about the food. The donuts. Oh God, hold me. My eyes always bug out at their donut display, always kept full and welcoming (in the mornings anyway. I'm sure they sell out fast, so go in the morning!) The donuts are so soft, fresh, delicious, sweet, melt in your mouth. I love the donut holes. Steve always tosses in a few free donut holes for us, such a great guy! The prices are perfect too. The croissant breakfast sandwiches.. oh geez. Worth. Every. Calorie. Ham, cheese, bacon, egg,.. why. Why so yummy?! If they're out, they make it fresh, and the wait is short. 5 minutes, tops, and they bring it to you personally, all hot and yummy. The iced coffee is a great blend too. Damn, I need to come back! Honeymoon is over! Prices have gone up and quality and size are down....Buttermilk bars are size of round donut, quality taste is of day old. I would be less skeptical if I saw day old for sale, but with low customer traffic I guess they have to make $$. read more

You know when you wake up on a day off and nothing will satisfy better than a yummy donut (or two)? That's how I woke up this morning and I'm glad I made the trek to Hemet Donuts. It was well worth the trip across town. I have tried local donut shops but this time I decided to check some Yelp reviews, which led me here. Maple bacon bars? Blueberry donuts? Sign me up! The maple bacon bar was so righteous: crispy bacon atop a soft, tasty maple bar. I heated mine up on the microwave for 15 seconds and BAM! Tried their mango smoothie with boba. While the mango flavor was OK, their boba was fresh and soft. That's a huge plus in my book. Need to try the other flavors like watermelon, honeydew and strawberry. Another major plus: Being greeted with a smile and a compliment to your hair (my hair tends to have some fans). The shop owners were very nice and attentive, and seem to really enjoy what they do. This really shows in their product and their store, which very clean - Yes! Although it was a bit of a drive for me (I live west of Sanderson), it was totally worth the drive. I have a feeling this will be a regular weekend stop. read more

Truly the best doughnut shop in the Hemet Valley. There are special occasions where I surprise my co-workers with a magical pink box of happiness, and this is the place I go. Always clean, always have your favorites in stock and always greeted with a warm smile. Prices are great, can always get a dozen of assorted doughnuts for under $8. Old fashions are my fav, but bacon maple, apple fritters and jelly filled are also worth a try. Stop by before work, stop by after work, stop before church, stop by after church.... Just Stop!!! Trust me, you have time. read more

AMAZING!! Woke up craving donuts this morning and because I do not eat them very often I was on the search for a great place! After reading a few of their reviews I decided it was worth the drive across town to try them out and I was NOT disappointed!!! They're super friendly and had such a great variety! Blueberry & BananaNut donuts! SOLD!! My daughter and I walked in planning to just get one donut each and we walked out with a dozen!! We will definitely be returning and referring family & friends!!! Oh my goodness! This blueberry glazed is soooooo good! Sorry I had to get that out. Ok, down to business. The shop is in a strip mall next to a car wash. So today on a Saturday parking lot was full. But the shop is small but nice. A few tables which were occupied and then the display case. Amazing! Very eye pleasing display. Prices easily displayed. The young lady that helped me was friendly as efficient! I ordered a dozen and the much talked about blueberry donuts. I tried the glazed blueberry and received a frosted also. The best donuts. Tried it the first time the other days we didn't realize they were closing up but and didn't realize the manger Endo brewed a fresh pot of coffee for me because well I like coffee with my donut and am to lazy to make it when I get home lol Me and my girlfriend felt so bad as we go in the car and saw them turn off the open sign. I have been looking for a new donut shop for the occasional treat for my kids. This shop has many varieties of donuts and some types of donuts I have not seen anywhere else. The different varieties of donut holes will delight your kids and your own pallet, the blueberry donut holes here are awesome. I purchased a wide variety of donuts for my family, everyone remarked how good they were. We all noticed that they were not greasy, which is great since many donut shops in the valley have greasy donuts. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I had a wonderful experience here recently with Annie. It was about 5 minutes until closing, and I had called to ask if she could stay open just a little longer until I could make it in. My Grandmother had been in a nursing facility and really just wanted a donut and cup of coffee. Annie not only stayed open, but made me a fresh pot of coffee. The best donut shop in town! The owners are so incredibly nice which is why they have regulars frequently coming! Absolutely fascinated that they have blueberry donuts and they're very delicious! Absolutely the best donut shop in the Hemet/San Jacinto area. They're cheap, they're quick, and above all else, the donuts are fantastic. As are the shakes, the sandwiches and the service. I don't know any of the folks behind the counter by name, but they're always pleasant and friendly. It's very dangerous that the shop is just down the road from my house... read more
