They told us they had an opening around 3:30 PM. We then asked them if there was a way to be seen sooner. They told us to just show up and that they would charge us extra to squeeze us in between appointments but that we would be seen sooner than this appointment time. We showed up around 2:30 PM or so. They put us in a room where we waited for 30+ minutes without hearing anything from anyone. When we went to the front to have an update on when we would be seen, this chick called STACY came out of nowhere and spoke to us with a really rude and disrespectful tone "THIS IS AN EMERGENCY CLINIC SO YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO WAIT". We know this is an emergency clinic, we do understand that they see patients in order of priority, but STILL, there is a way to say things and talk to people. We told her that we previously spoke on the phone with someone who told us to come over saying that we would be seen before 3:30 if we paid an extra fee or something. We were trying to figure out who we spoke with, to demystify the information we received VS the current situation. Every time we asked sweet STACY to help us figure out who we spoke with, she replied "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU SPOKE WITH" in her adorably rude tone! After asking a few times, she said "YOU SPOKE WITH ME". Yeah right...! "WHAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME?" Nah, we don't, otherwise you would have said it earlier when we asked 10 times ago! "I'LL GO TALK TO THE DOCTORS" She then storms in the back room where all the technicians and vets are and starts complaining about us out loud. These are paper thin walls sweet STACY. We heard all your BS. Talking trash about us because we want to know who we spoke with...? We have been misinformed over the phone and just wanted to clarify stuff and not be charged for an extra fee for the visit, that's all. Not one time were we disrespectful in the way we talked to her. She just snapped for no reason. Probably having a bad day...? When she came back in the room to tell us "IT'S GONNA BE 20 MINS WAIT", we told her the walls were paper thin and that we heard her complaining about us to what she replied "YOU'RE MORE THAN WELCOME TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY". She then storms back there again and complains one more time to the technicians and vets. Why are you disturbing these poor people with your toxic attitude? Let them do their work and keep your negativity to yourself. We took our sweet kitty and went to the lobby to ask her for her name. "YOU WANT MY NAME? IT'S STACY. OH YOU'RE LEAVING? PERFECT" Who TF says this to people? Why take your toxic vibes out on us tho? Aren't people working with animals supposed to be compassionate, human and caring? She'd be better off working as a prison warden. If you love your animals, please stay away from this place. If she has that kind of attitude towards humans in the lobby, I don't wanna see how she treat animals in the back. STAY AWAY!

When she heard we were scrambling financially she recommended a way to pay our bill without paying any interest. She was kind and caring. It is evident she genuinely loves pets. Next, Dr. Gray and Dr P are attentive and sensitive. They treated Sweetie with such care. They listen and cared about what was communicating. I recently interacted with the doctors during two separate appointments on 2 separate occasions, the overall experience amazing. We have always felt welcomed at Heritage . Heritage has always, for years, have treated our pets (family members) and for years we have felt trust in how our pets are treated.

Most recently, I brought my cat in for an eye issue and was quoted over $600 for an exam, sedation, tests, and medication. The price immediately felt extremely high, especially for an eye infection, so I decided to call another veterinary clinic to compare. The other clinic examined both of my cat's eyes, and the total cost came out to under $120 including medication. They also determined that sedation was not necessary at all. My cat was calm, friendly, and even purring during the exam, which made me question why sedation was being pushed so strongly at the first clinic. This clinic does not allow pet owners to accompany their animals due to "safety protocols," so it left me wondering how my cat was being handled during the visit. Another frustrating part of the experience is that you don't actually speak directly with the doctor. All communication goes through the technician, who goes back and forth between you and the doctor. As a pet owner, I would much rather speak directly with the veterinarian responsible for my pet's care, instead of receiving information through a middle person. At the other clinic, the doctor was with me during the entire exam, explaining everything step by step, which felt much more transparent and reassuring. What also shocked me was that they mentioned charging a fee for each CPR attempt in case of an emergency. As a worried pet owner, hearing about additional charges like that felt extremely discouraging and overwhelming. Isn't the priority supposed to be protecting the life of the animal under their care? This unfortunately isn't my first bad experience here. During a previous visit, my cat needed a cast. After the procedure, she was still sedated and very sleepy, and the cast fell off immediately after we got home. She had barely moved, so it clearly wasn't my fault or my cat's fault. I called the clinic hoping they would fix it since it appeared to be an issue with how the cast was applied, but they charged me again to redo it. At the time I didn't push for a refund because my cat's wellbeing came first. Looking back now after this second experience, I truly feel I deserve a refund for that cast, since the issue was not caused by anything I did or by my cat. I do want to say that the front desk staff have always been kind and supportive, and I appreciate them. However, overall my experiences with this clinic have been very disappointing. I care deeply about my cat and want a veterinary office that is honest, transparent, and focused on the animal's wellbeing, not adding unnecessary services that dramatically increase the bill. There are other veterinary clinics in the area that provide great care without making pet owners feel this way. I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to treatment here.

Two weeks ago, we received Riot's devastating cancer diagnosis, and last week we had to make the incredibly painful decision to help him cross over after 13 amazing years with us. From the very first puppy appointment 13 years ago, to his euthanasia on March 13th, Dr. Kim and his team were beyond kind, patient, gentle, and compassionate every step of the way. Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest things a person can go through, and while nothing could ever make that pain easy, they made the process as peaceful, loving, and dignified as it possibly could have been. I will forever be thankful for the way they cared for Riot and for the comfort they gave me in such a devastating moment. Dr. Kim, thank you for your kindness and honesty, and for helping us through such an impossible decision with so much grace. And to your incredible staff, thank you for treating Riot with so much love and tenderness. It meant more than I could ever say. I left there not having to worry if he would be cared for. They allowed us as much time to say goodbye. They did not rush us whatsoever. When we knew it was time, we called them in, and they informed us every step of the way what was going to happen. We were there during every step, and although heart-wrenching, it was absolutely peaceful. I hadn't seen him so tranquil in months. It was then that my heart knew I had done the right thing following Dr. Kim's advice. I would also love to kindly ask if someone could please share the name of the veterinary technician who helped us during Riot's euthanasia appointment. She was absolutely amazing. Her warmth, compassion, and the love she showed my baby made one of the worst days of my life just a little bit easier. I would truly love the opportunity to recognize and thank her personally. Thank you all for helping my sweet Riot leave this world surrounded by dignity, peace, and love. I will never forget the care you gave him, or me. Thank you, Archibald Pet Hospital!
