I have an occupational background within the health and wellness community. I've experienced…read moremultiple behavioral institutes, psychiatrists, and therapists via work and personal health. With that being said, it's still easy for me to say, without a doubt, The Cincinnati Anxiety Center is by far the best behavioral health group I've ever come across. In my opinion, The Cincinnati Anxiety Center offers the most innovative and trustworthy therapy avaiable for mental health across the board, for adults and children alike. Truly a place that goes above and beyond your stereotypical therapy to bring you and/or your loved ones a personalized plan. A plan that communicates trust, care and hope. The Cincinnati Anxiety Center is also multifaceted based on their client's needs. They utilize only the best and clinically approved, state-of-the-art technology. And I could probably write a book about evening they have to offer, but go ahead and just look them up online to find out all of their services. Mostly, for me, they care. Not a marketing "we care about you," but care as a person who understands your pain. For me, even after missing appointments, I was never shamed. Never has my therapist given up on me. I've even been given a house call and meeting up outside their office, upon my approval, after having difficulty making appointments. They are there for YOU. One personal reflection I remember... It was a rough day. I only wanted to go to bed, but I when I got to my appointment, my therapist held out a nitendo switch controller and said "Let's see those Fifa skills." I have no gaming skills, so I didn't fare well, but I laughed. I mean really laughed! And it was the right medicine. I laughed more than I had for weeks. The Cincinnati Anxiety Center is superior not only because of their generous therapeutic options, great results and are an amazing group of people, but also it's the small things. Things like noticing when you just need to take a break and laugh.

I begged the front desk, therapist Heather, and even directly FB messaged Dr. Quinton Moss to involuntarily hospitalize the family member. I provided phone records and evidence. The family member had withdrawn my release of information (unstable patient would do this). The office stonewalled me. They ignored my request, and ignored the evidence I presented even when my wife (who had a current release of info) called with the same demands. The manager got unprofessional when he heard me talking in the background when my wife was on the phone with them. They refused to hospitalize my family member. 2 days later my family member was in the ER for an actual suicide attempt.

Calls are not returned, appointments are mis-scheduled, requests for prescription refills end up in the abyss. Most of the time, telephone calls are automatically routed to a third-party voice mail system, and the messages are almost never returned. When I asked the office manager about this, she said that the telephone software was being upgraded, and there were a few glitches to be worked about. But this has been the case for well over a year. Luckily, they dropped my insurance carrier, UHC, from their system, so I was able to find a different practice to visit. But I am really afraid that my new doctor will never receive my records...another victim of Modern Psychiatry and Wellness' abyss.

I was referred to thoughtfully by my physician. She originally referred me to Nya or Nyla but she…read morehad a long waitlist so after a month I had to choose a different provider. When dealing with ADHD you know some of the simplest tasks are hard to accomplish. Coupling that with depression only makes it worse. For me therapy is like dating so I couldn't just choose one at random. It takes time to choose a new one that you feel is the 'right' one, especially if part of your issues are self doubt and anxiety with decision making and not trusting anyone around you . The first time I worked with the receptionist we took our time before I found a new therapist that I was open to get to know. I was bummed by the fact that I was going to have to wait almost two weeks to see her but whatever. I knew I just needed a safe space to release this heavy mental load. On the day of my appointment Yolanda Ali cancelled my appoint a few hours before the appointment. I called upset and spoke to the receptionist Jill again. She was kind which is why I gave two stars and not one, but she kind of minimized how big the situation was especially for a person that feels alone and has no one to talk to. She offered to schedule me for someone else but, Like no you cant just toss me on someone else's schedule idk. No explanation for why my appointment was cancelled (we are in confusing times and I thought my insurance was giving me issues so that's what initially sent me into a panic anyway) so I declined. Jill offered to call me back so that she could get more clarity on why the appointment was cancelled. She called back a few hours later stating that Yolonda had an emergency and that she could see me the next day. THE NEXT DAY YOLANDA JUST DIDNT EVEN SHOW TO THE APPOINTMENT. I sat and waited 22 minutes before calling the office for the sake of my insurance to inform them no one ever showed up for the appointment (it was telehealth btw). Jill offered again to reschedule me but I was completely disgusted so I declined. The next morning I wake up to an email and text confirmation of an appointment set for a week from now. No call to apologize or right her wrong, just a text message confirmation that she had added me to her calendar. Side note I am a single mother dealing with PTSD and a plethora of other things, mom guilt, etc. I needed to take my son somewhere but I know that I need to prioritize my mental health to give my son a better quality of life. I STOPPED MY SONS WHOLE ENTIRE DAY TO MAKE TIME FOR THIS SECOND APPOINT BECAUSE IT WAS NOT IN THE PLANS. I felt horrible that I wasted his time stopping and sitting on the side of a store to have this appointment for the lady not show or even have the curtsey to say sorry. Just reschedule lol. I promise I do not need the let down, that was why I was seeking therapy to begin with.
