A great way to assist in learning German in a practical way. The Celtic museum is a great place for history buffs as is covers the history of the Celts in Europe. Indoors, the displays are informative and offer up English translations beside the native German. The outdoor display has a small garden with crops the Celts cultivated and replica buildings typical of the Celtic period. Afterwards you can go across the street and visit the replica burial mound. Plenty of free parking at the museum.

The Jewelry Museum is one of the largest of it's kind in Europe and well worth a visit. It should…read moretake anywhere from 45 min to 2 hours to see all of the exhibits depending on your level of patience and interest. They have a ton fo really cool examples of jewelry dating back to 2000+ BC to more modern examples being made in Pforzheim, the Gold City, as recently as 2019. There's an awesome garden to explore outside and a nice cafe to order coffee and small snacks from. It's located right next to a bus stop and is easy to access from the Hauptbahnhof. It costs €2.50 for students and a few euros more for non-students, very affordable overall. Check it out if you'd like a relaxing afternoon and have some spare time on your hands.

It was really cool to see the designs that were "in style" back in ancient Grecian times that are still being made ( and worn ) today Of course I have a fondness for Art Deco & there was a good representation there too. Art nouveau, Renaissance, Retro...you get the idea Lovely way to spend the afternoon
