We almost agreed to it because our daughter is sad at her current school. But we gave the thought some more time and consideration. We spoke to the staff and they said they would adjust their information by end of March/April to reflect the new amount. We gave them a few months to update their info because something felt slightly off. It looks like they selected us to be the family to get overcharged.

Small class sizes and immersive learning styles teach them how to be engaged in what they are doing. We recently were able to sit in on a class for an hour and it's so cute seeing them all get to work on projects that they decide to do and having a snack when they want to. The are very independent while getting valuable lessons. The style in which they teach reading and math has my oldest daughter reading in a much higher level and even doing multiplication and division. They still teach cursive which I believe is a fundamental lesson that is being lost in other places. The children are so much more independent and really show care and compassion towards their fellow classmates.

The first graders have their own trailer with over 6 classrooms, just for 1st graders. I thought this was great for children to develop social skills and building relationships with other students. Crescent Academy offers extracurricular activities to include girl's scouts, boy scouts, music, soccer, etc. In addition to activities, they also offer academic assistance for students that may be falling below their academic level. I gather from staff's involvement with the programs they offer, they really care. As it relates to the staff building relationships with the parents, I do see an effort being made since the last time I wrote my review. My daughter participated in the girls scout program, she was a daisy. She had so much fun and there were so many events, trips and meetings to keep the girls just as engaged. She will definitely be participating next year as a brownie. Overall, I feel confident in the academic program Crescent Academy offers. We are looking forward to next year.

They were hands down everything we wanted for our children. OCS has a wonderful parent/teacher and parent/administration relationship. We are so pleased with the concern and care that is taken with each child and their gifts, abilities and needs. We love the family involvement that is created, without pressure, but by far beneficial. There is a concern to not just build great students, but great families as well. There is nothing more reassuing than knowing that our kids are being loved on and taught by ones who truly love our Savior and who desire our kids to know and love Him as well. OCS has an amazingly gifted staff which provides opportunities for the students that go beyond just every day learning. Education is more than just academics, OCS, by God's great provision is producing, wonderful students on academic, spiritual, athletic, musical and technological levels. Attended a two-day event here recently and wanted to share a small but meaningful moment that stood…read moreout. At the end of the event, only one restroom near the auditorium was left open. The others had been cleaned and locked since the venue was being prepped for the next day. The lines grew long, and with kids needing to go urgently, I approached one of the custodial staff to ask if any other restrooms were available. That's when I met Ana. She gently explained that everything else was closed but then took it upon herself to help. She contacted someone with the keys, walked all the way to another restroom, opened it up for us, and let in a few others as well. I knew it meant extra work and more cleaning, but she didn't hesitate. When I thanked her, she was so humble and simply said she was glad to help. These 5 stars are for you, Ana! You didn't expect anything in return, and you had no idea I'd write this review. I don't know if it'll ever reach you or make a difference, but this is my way of saying thank you for your quiet act of kindness. It truly meant a lot to us. Such kindness deserves to be appreciated. Cass Technical High School is a very nicely designed building.  From the exterior it exudes…read moreconfidence and ability.  The parking is more than adequate on the grounds but in the surrounding neighborhood it is difficult to find parking.  Approach to the building is difficult especially during the limited rush hours that occur.  It is an important school in the area and focuses on preparatory courses and activities for those students seeking to continue on to college. The school building is a bright point in the area it is located in.  The green and orange colors reflect and shine in the morning and afternoon hours.  It is used for large community gatherings as well as it has adequate seating in its auditorium and gymnasium structure.

What can I say, we love Utica Community Schools and their teachers!! As an active parent who participates and volunteers within all 3 schools, I get to see first hand what goes on within the schools. The teachers are some of the most engaged and active I've ever seen. You can tell they truly care about the well being and education of all their students. I've had two clients attend their schools and both have had fairly good experiences. They don't have a lot of resources to address students with disabilities, but they do have a good language program (Spanish and Mandarin Chinese) as well as after school programs and a very involved parent group.

Especially the athletic section. The students are still there until like 9 PM or 10 p.m. And my shift ends at 11 PM. The principles are asshats. They would complain about literally about everything. Even when it's summer break, they would try to fire part-time custodians, because didn't like the "way how they clean".
