Dr. Vander Wall is amazing. I have been a mechanic for 17yrs and have many injuries related to my…read morework. I have (or had) De Quervain's tendinitis in my wrist. It was so bad I couldn't write with a pen properly. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and got cortisone shots and therapy. Needless to say it only slightly helped my situation. The only option the surgeon had for me was to go under the knife. I went to several other chiropractors and didn't have any success with relieving my pain. After some research I found the soft tissue approach is what I was looking for. I went to Dr. Scott and noticed an improvement in my pain after the first treatment. I would say it took 10-15 treatments to knock the pain out completely. It has been six months since I have felt any noticeable pain in my wrist. Having to use my hands on a daily basis I am impressed with the success I have had going to Dr. Scott. He eliminated the need for surgery. In my eyes it was money well spent. I still go back for periodic adjustments and now he is treating the pain in my shoulder.

I have never written a complaint before, but I had such a disturbing experience with Scott that I…read moreneed to let people know. I am a special ed teacher who guides children daily on living with integrity, and it is from that place I write this review. I have had bodywork from men and women for many years (never a bad experience before), so I am familiar with appropriate conduct when you're on the table. From the first session, I felt a little uneasy because Scott asked me personal questions (and appeared overly interested) during the session that had nothing to do with my injuries, which I had never had a new male bodyworker do before. i.e. "What do you do when you aren't teaching? What else do you like to do?" Women often get these types of questions when someone wants to ask you out, but not in the middle of deep tissue work in sensitive areas. During this session he gave his first sales pitch that I really should get $475 orthotics from him, which I declined because it was such a high price. (Whatever you do, don't get the orthotics from him -overpriced and may not work- can be covered by insurance anyway) On my 2nd visit, while working on my groin/pelvic area, Scott asked if I had a husband at home. I have no problem with deep bodywork in or around my lower pelvic area since there can be significant healing that can come from it, but usually there is an unspoken code of what type of conversation, if any, there would be at that time or anytime during a session. I felt his queston was not only inappropriate but disrespectful, and I have had several bodyworkers tell me it's shocking. He also continued to emphasize the need for me to buy his orthotics. I had another injury four months later and was feeling super desperate so I ordered the orthotics. When I received them, the arch was way too high (confirmed this with a professional) and couldn't be worn at all. When I told Scott that, he was defensive and began talking very negatively in a louder than necessary voice about all the things wrong with my body for an extended period. I left there feeling awful. When Scott texted me to follow up (which he does with all his patients, I think) I described to him what he did and how it made me feel. He apologized. (have saved all texts). I said I couldn't wear them and asked when I could get them adjusted. His response it below. (If it doesn't show up, he responded "The feeling's mutual." when I said I didn't want to book a session but just wanted orthotics adjusted. I guess he was mad that I wouldn't pay for any more sessions. Uncalled for and unprofessional. There are many great good options for bodyworkers in Denver, so I would highly recommend using someone else. I have a feeling Scott will follow up refuting my story but this is the truth. I am now looking into legal guidance on how to get my $475 refunded.
