Absolutely beautiful animal sanctuary with an equally wonderful staff and volunteer crew. We were on San Juan Island for a few days and happened to find Heaven on Earth by chance. We made a reservation (free, but donations greatly appreciated) and took a drive across the island to a supremely beautiful and secluded spot. For about 60+ minutes, our wonderful guide toured us around and gave us various foods to feed the animals, all of which were gentle and friendly. We got to see and interact with pigs, goats, chickens, cows, llamas, donkeys, horses, ducks and geese. Oh, my. Oftentimes, the world can seem so dark, but experiences and places like Heaven on Earth (as well as the wonderful team there), are good reminders of the beauty all around us. read more

If you want your dog to have playtime in the big yard. It cost an extra $10 per play time. 10 minutes at a time. If you bring your own canned food to be served to your dog as well as dry food which you provide, there is an extra charge to serve wet food at each feeding. This kennel is the only boarding facility on the island. We would not use this kennel again if there were other options. We found their extra fees excessive.
