Heatons is a store which has women's clothes, men's clothes, kid's clothes, dvds, homeware and lots of other products. I think the women's clothes are very good quality but very resonably priced. The homeware is very good value also! read more

I hadn't been in it before but it has the mystique of all hardware stores, and the feeling that if you don't duck you'll hit your head on a birdfeeder or something. I was confused as to who was the staff as there were three guys just standing around when I went in. The youngest guy gave me assistance when I asked for superglue.... the two older guys accused me of being a glue-sniffer, and told me it would stick to my nose. It was too early in the day for me to come back with anything other than an eye-roll. So if you want hardware items and banter, you could try this place

He was told no that was reserved for customers and when the AA truck came the owner came out and yell at the AA man for blocking the space. no customers came to pack in that spot the whole time they were there.

We came to look at boxes, cos... um... we are a little obsessed with boxes…read more We sated ourselves with a plastic basket for our hat collection and a wheeled storage box with clip on lid for our canoeing gear. It's perfect and will replace the rubbish one we've been putting up with for the last six years. My husband remarked how Homebase was much much better value than Woodies for some storage drawers he needed for work recently. 15 EUR v 40 EUR. Mad difference. We wandered around all the departments and we picked up a few more bits that have been on my long term shopping list. I picked up a lovely small cactus for 2.60 EUR. It's fairly impressive and large. It seems to cover all the bases for your home and garden. And they've boxes. So many wonderful boxes.

There we were, 14 doo-gooders without a clue realising at about 4.30 on a sat afternoon that not only did we have no clue what we were doing, we didn't have the tools to do it with...you know, whatever it is.... A plan is formulated, it involves rope, cutty thingys and 14 headless chickens... we had the chickens but where to find an open shop to get the cutty thingys. Q storms off, hero to the rescue type of thing (in a Nissan Micra...red in case you were wondering) and ends up in Webbs - just as they are closing. The guys see a short, fat, balding guy speaking gibberish at them ... they sell me the sharp implements anyway and give a few words of advice (well worth listening as it turns out!) A small shop with a lot of stuff and friendly, patient, staff. tremendous

Arrived today to be told it was fixed last week, I was asked for fifty euro when I produced my credit card was told they needed cash when I said that was inconvenient he insisted. I paid and left, it was only when I arrived home that I discovered, that for fifty euro Webb had replaced the petro cap, attached two cable ties, and replaced my two broken wingnuts. Interestingly I had asked for a petrol cap and if they would have wing nuts, but the purpose of the visit was to get cables and brakets replaced and all they did was strap the old cable to the old broken bracket. 50 Euro! I will not be returning.
