Great farm shop selling seasonal fruit and vegetables and there as fresh as you can get! There…read morecurrently doing strawberry picking so get yourself down there and grab a punnet, it's around £5 pound a punnet which seems expensive but once weighed you do get a lot for your money and the luxury of picking them yourself. They also sell those little luxuries you don't see in a supermarket (cartmel sticky toffee pudding) and lots more. Kenyon Hall farm also has a beautiful garden centre, cafe indoor & outdoor as well as an outdoor park for children. Nice place to visit for an afternoon.

We went strawberry picking one fine saturday to Kenyon Hall Farm. The farm is not too far from J22…read moreof the M6 and has a decent sized car park. The only way into the picking area is through the farm shop and cafe. You queue up, choose a picking basket and follow the teddy bear to get to the strawberry fields. Spend as much time as you like, pick as many strawberries as your basket can hold and then return to the farm shop and pay for the day's haul. The farm shop also sells locally sourced meats, sausages, vegetables, preserves, jams etc. They also have a cafe selling hot and cold food and drinks, which are reasonably priced. In addition to picking your own, you also have the option to buy potted plants and bring them home. I think we got some basil, mint and chilli. I thoroughly enjoyed the strawberry picking experience, which was enhanced by a sunny day. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you have little kids that need to be entertained on a fine summer's day.

This is a great shop to visit if you are counting your pennys. What I like best about it is that…read morethey stock well known brands and not brands which youve never heard of before. Being a veggie I like to visit farmfoods to buy cheap veggie foods. Farmfood always have quorn on special offer, their prices are unbeatable as they only cost about a pound or 2 boxes for £3 - the same products would set me back a lot more in Tesco! The staff always seem to be rushed off their feet as its so busy and popular so they dont have the time to be friendly with you. More of a case of serve you as fast as possible then usher you out of the store!

Ok, there is a trade off with this place. Yes, they do have loads of good offers and…read morediscounts/special deals but when you get to the counter they are so blase about packing away food it is unbelieveable. I have stopped going here for more than one or two things because whenever I have done a big shop at this place in the past they have literally thrown my food into carrier bags. I stood there in disbelief. Let me say that again, they threw my food into bags - not giving a second thought as to whether frozen stuff was going with open food etc. I thought that was horrible and at the time said I am never going back there. The store is like a one way system the way it is laid out. It is difficult with a large trolley or even a pram to turn around in the aisles becasue they are so narrow and tight. Having said all this, just let me reiterate that the store does have a lot of good quality cheap food. So if you dont mind your food being crushed by overly busy staff who dont have the time to care, then this is the place for you.
