Wow, I just read the other review and can't believe that they're talking about the same photographer! My family just had a reunion and my mother chose Heather based on recommendations from a friend. I was just one of the "photographee's", but I can say that Heather was completely professional and impressed my mother and my family! For starters, Heather was on time (7:30pm sharp), and did an outstanding job of organizing our group into different settings. She made it a point to learn all 10 of our names, and then made playful conversation with the younger members of my family, to make the entire process fun. I just had a chance to view the proofs on a website she created for us and the photos look fantastic! I would highly recommend Heather to anyone looking for great family photos. We selected Heather Donlan to photograph our wedding because of her beautiful portfolio of pictures and very reasonable pricing. We purchased a smaller package of 5 hours so I knew that some events would not be shot but I was amazed at the variety and amount of photos that Heather and her husband were able to get in during that time frame. From the moment Heather arrived, she was able to put everyone at ease and capture some stunning pictures. She was professional but relaxed and all of my bridesmaids who were married commented that they wish they would have had someone like Heather photograph their big day. Her photos are exquisite, beautiful images that capture a richness and depth in her subjects. I would love to see what she sees through the camera. She truly has a gift. Heather clearly loves what she does and it comes through in her interaction with her clients and everyone with which she works. She is a love and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Honestly, not that I'm recommending it, but she could charge more for what she gives you in her time and attention to detail in every aspect of the process from photo shoot to retouching. Her pricing is very competitive but what you get in return makes her services and product a steal. I have used several photographers in Naples and I have to say that Heather Donlan is, hands down, the BEST! As a mother of 5 young children, family photographs used to be a stressful time. As a mother herself, heather understands families and children and is more kind, sweet and patient than you could imagine. I wish I could undo the one negative review on this companies website because the man who wrote it sounds like a big jerk who really does not appreciate the skill that Heather has. I usually don't write reviews but my experience with Heather Donlan Photography certainly warrants one. We chose Heather Donlan to take our family pictures for our Easter card. We have put off having a family portrait done for awhile because my kids aren't the easiest to photograph but Heather rose to the challenge and got my kids not only to cooperate but smile. We ended up with a beautiful family portrait for our Easter card and to showcase in our home. Heather was extremely professional, patient and creative for our shoot. She spent sufficient time to make sure she got the shots we had discussed prior to the shoot and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. She came to the shoot with props to enhance our pictures and had creative ideas that added a unique touch to our photos. When it came time to ordering our photos I was extremely impressed with the level of service I received. She provided us with many design options for our Easter cards and also came out to our home and measured the wall I wished to hang photos on and sent me a schematic of how various sizes would fit on my wall. This was extremely helpful in choosing the perfect design layout. Overall, my experience with Heather Donlan was 5 star.
