I recently switched to Dr Boros on a recommendation from a good friend. This is a practice that is much closer to my work and from my 1st appointment to now my 3rd visit, I can only sing high praise for the staff - front desk, hygienist and the main attraction Audrey Boros. She is cool, warm, friendly and witty. Most importantly, she is skilled and is, in fact, at a high academic and practitioner level. From my friend I found out that Dr Boros founded a dental pathology lab which essentially is, at its core, as I understand it, is to do the work up of oral cell analysis - cancer exams. This may be a bit esoteric and maybe not on point here for general dentistry, but I see it as an a sign of Dr. Boros' dedication to the practice of dentistry. Many dentists become assembly line for profits, this practice is a bit of a throwback. Few DDS offices accept insurance on the Westside or B Hills. The office reflects this "purity" of purpose. The name - Heart Centered Dentistry is a giveaway. They are exactly that! read more

Another unethical dental practice I made an appt. and came into this office after a year and half. I was told after my visit by the hygienist that I had extreme plaque and she recommended a deep cleaning - all four quadrants. She gave me a semi-general cleaning, splattering water from her cleaning tool on my face the entire time. Never experienced that! The hygienist asked me if I was a smoker? Unbelievable - the fact that I have never been a smoker is not only in my profile but clearly my teeth do not reflect this. The dentist who was present during this appointment was Dr. Boros. Dr. Gonzalez may want to reconsider who she validates as business partner and who the hygienist she keeps on staff. Extremely unprofessional. read more

I received the most substandard and unprofessional service from this dentist office. For a dentistry who came highly recommended; my experience pailed contrary to what was presented as "the best dentistry in the west." First, I was pressured into calling my insurance company to verify benefits, which should've been done prior to my appointment. Second, I was talked at, questioned and treated more like a perpetrator than a patient worth their time. The dentist and staff were extremely rude then after horrifying experience, manager called with a patronizing apology. Thereafter, I've yet to hear back regarding much needed mouth guard after making multiple follow up calls. I will make sure my insurance company hears of this unacceptable behavior and moving forward hope this dental practice treats diversed patients with disabilities with more dignity and respect. read more

This dental office was very UNPROFESSIONAL!! Upon leaving the office after my second visit, after having had 2 biopsies on my tongue, their receptionist, Nicole, bullied me & insisted I must pay the bill in full, a charge of $767. I had NEVER received any kind of bill from them prior to this 2nd appointment. I was outraged that they insist I pay the bill in full. I have dental insurance & accidentally gave them the wrong insurance info but corrected that mistake immediately the next morning. In spite of that, the receptionist still sent a very hostile, poorly written letter which was grammatically incorrect, (a sign of an undeducated person), & a demanding email that if I did not pay the bill in full, not come back! When I complained to the owner of the practice, Dr. Gonzalez, she was in total agreement with full payment as well. I have never been to a medical/dental office where full payment was insisted upon after each appointment. I have excellent credit, (a FICO score of well over 850), so this was an attack on my character. This low class dental practice obviously runs on such a limited shoe string budget that it requires them to insist all patients pay in full after each visit in order just to survive from week to week! Obviously, this is not a very classy or professionally run practice! Do not go to this practice if you want to be mistreated, bullied, or shown no respect & know thata every dollar you spend, must be used just to cover their day by day operations because they obviously are too poor to treat their patients like the other medical/dental practices throughout the L. A. area. They apparently do not know the proper norms on how to treat people in a real "professional" office! read more
