I have been going to this salon for the past 5 years. Eak & Jason were amazing, but unfortunately for me, both of them moved on.
On my latest visit, I have been referred to Rhiannon, (she might be the branch manager as well) and it was my worst experience as of yet.
Original appointment was for wash, cut and blow dry, but after a quick chat, I thought of also blending in few grey hair I had on my temples. I ask whether Rhiannon had time for it and after checking she said yes.
The consultation was quick, not many questions asked to clarify, no expertise given. I only wanted to minimise the look of them and I made it clear. So, we agreed on to do few foils of highlights. Rhiannon didn't make me aware how long do I have to have it on for and just said that she won't be long. After over 30 minutes of waiting, I have asked her colleague that where she is. She was cutting somebody else's hair!!! Then she eventually came and abruptly told me that it takes to develop and I should know how long these things takes. To be honest, I don't know as this was the first time I had my colour/ highlights done in a salon.
When I had my hair washed I have been waiting for her further 15 minutes as in the meantime she has still been cutting somebody else's hair. I really felt unimportant. By the time she has attended to me, I have been in the saloon 2 hours. When I took the towel of my hair my heart sunk. The hair that were coloured highlighted my grey hair and it looked like I had massive streaks of grey hair running down the sides. In a shock, I said to her that I don't like it and whether she can do something about it. OMG, once I said this, her ego must have suffered greatly as she become argumentative. Blaming me for not being clear and telling me that I don't know what I want. I was shocked how she was speaking to me. I was already fuming inside, but didn't say anything as didn't want to make a scene.
She then took me to have something applied to those hair to tune it down and have my hair washed. Once it has been rectified, I was calmer, but she just couldn't let it go. Going on and on through the whole haircut and blow dry how I should be clear and what should I say and shouldn't say and to top it up, she went on that she will put a note on the system that without a photo that I should bring with me, nobody should do colour on my hair. How dare you?!!! I was so annoyed with her remarks that I had to tell her to stop arguing. To be honest, if it was somebody more hot tempered they would make a big scene.
In regards to the haircut, what can I say... She is meant to be the top stylist, but she is nothing but. I have shown her the style I wanted, actually the model had similar hair colour I wanted as well. The haircut I ended up with is more like eighties classic then the modern stylish cut I really wanted.
I have paid too much for what was the worst experience in a hair salon of my life and I will never put my foot through that door again.
You have not only lost me as a customer due to your terrible attitude, but also anyone else I know and maybe anyone who reads this.
